In most videos I've seen with the Imperial anthem here on RUclips the anthem somehow feels different to that of the UK, despite still being the same tune. This one sounds more similar (solemn rather than militaristic) which is ironic, given that it's from a movie made when Germany was at war with Britain.
Eine Zeit, in der wir stolz auf unser Land und unser Volk sein konnten. Auch sogar ein wenig auf den Kaiser. Möge eine ähnlich gute Zeit wieder zurückkommen.
Cause it would have been historically inaccurate to use a salute wich wasn't used during the times of the German empire The time period this movie takes place in is the year 1888 so a hitler salute would be completely out of place and historically inaccurate That's why

Tatsächlich eine meiner Lieblingsszenen aus dem Film. Die habe ich allzu oft wiederholt.
What movie is this ?
@@NULTAMBOR807 Die Entlassung
sehr schön
Strange how this was made in 1942 , when the Austrian painter hated the Hohenzollern monarchy
he hated hohenzollern rule, but for kaiser himself he had a great respect and even visited the kaiser in his exiled house in netherlands
@@krafcik1532 only himmler visited the kaiser, however the kaiser did not like hitler and his regime that he was imposing to his former people.
Ah yes the year before europe conflict so beautiful 😍
Actually In The Late Middle Of The Second Major Global Inhumane Conflict

@halftime919 We don't translate them the same in English. Post WW1 is called Weimar Republic and then vaguely called Nazi Germany or the Third Reich.
