I remember when I was a small child, My dad would get blocks of ice, that was cut from Lake Erie for our ice box.
The thumbnail almost looks like an aerial view of a cloud bank
Dad was a shipmaster throughout the great lakes..he came home when the lakes froze over and returned to work in the spring..icebreakers weren't in use in the 60s and 70s..
