I don't know, that last Civvi blade could be a multi-tool... that notch in the blade at the pivot when it's closed looks like it might work as a bottle opener. Just say'n. Also, I'd totally rock that Khukuri.

That Reate double ended knife reminds me of the Gemini style knives in the 90s. Two locking blade styles that would open on each end.

Where did you get the inspiration for the double front flipper? Well there's this gas station in my home town....

The real story is he wanted something that represents his Asian heritage (the Japanese drop point blade) and something that represents his love for America (the American tanto blade).
The name of the knife is EMW (east meets west)
Just now getting into tops knives. I love them. My wife is from Idaho too so we’re a big tops family turns out. Looking for a street scalpel 2.0 hhahahaha

The WE Dagger us nice but in the same time with conceptual flaw designed into it. Onesided Flipper, but both sides look almost the same eith two clips. Without looking you do not know for sure which side to open. Not optimal for a tactical dagger.

I’ve been working in this industry for a while now and interacted with many of the executives from Reate and even asked them, never once have I been corrected by them (the ones who actually matter) on my pronunciation js 🤷♂️🤣🤪

@@johnrosenthal7270 I give Tactile credit for acknowledging the problem and correcting it. They've been very open with their heat treat specs. You won't find Heretic/Microtech hrc specs anywhere, and if you try to contact them they will not respond. Every company should be required to publish their hrc specs. If magnacut isn't over 63 I won't be buying it.

I'm sorry but a 200$ slip joint is just ridiculous the only reason you had a slip joint when you were a kid and your father had a slip joint when he was a kid it's cuz they're cheap you're not going to give a $200 slip joint to a seven-year-old child lol these companies are getting kind of stupid with their prices

And probably one of the most dangerous knives to use as they can close on your fingers ...... Knife companies these days trying to charge 2 3 or $400 for a knife that's made out of basic materials has no special opening or special locking system... is not fidget friendly... There's literally nothing good about it other than the fact that it's Sharp 😂

I love Chaves designs and the two 229 Redencion variants I own. Hopefully they will come out with something new and fresh sometime soon. I noticed when asked about the new lineup he said something to the effect of more of the same. One company killing it with diversity is Vosteed. Don’t think they had a booth though?
Oh yeah, for me, the skull clip on the Chaves is mandatory. Introducing the plain clip resulted in screws having to be placed on its forehead. I just wish they could redesign that
