In this anime the girl used to sell her body to war soldiers, who destroyed her village only in order to bring food to the remained orphaned children.. She lived her whole life in the guilt that she sinned and was in thought that her soul is most dark around..
But the main character the hero of anime was blind by his eyes but was able to see the colour of souls... He recognized people by the colour of their soul that is how he differentiated between humans and demons..
I still remember this heart crushing💔 💔 scene of anime when he hugged the girl and said "your soul is the most beautiful thing i have ever seen on this earth"

I cried when she had to you know the soldiers for money and when the children got slaughtered.
One of the most impactful animes I have watched. It challenged my views and definitely changed something in me. Truly moving journey of the main character. Can't stop rooting and praying for him to make it through still human despite everything. I will never forget how this anime made me feel.

The anime is called "Dororo". The original was made in 1969. The adaptation version was made last year, 2019 which you saw just now.
I recommend both original & adaptation versions. Both good :)
They also got a ps2 game called "Blood Will Tell" & a manga... though the manga got a big ass plot twist at the end.
