Going outside Melty Blood into the whole of Nasuverse, every celestial body (including Moon) has one of these "Types" (sent to Earth since Gaia didn't have one) and the True Ancestors (including and especially Arcueid) are made in likeness of Type Moon, the Brunestud of the Crimson Moon (who was killed by Zelretch). Arcueid is kinda his heir if she were to accept that part of herself.
