this song means the world to me. i didn’t even know if i was pregnant yet, but i’d sing this to the potential baby in my stomach. even after taking a pregnancy test & getting a negative, i always felt like i wasn’t alone. a month later, i found out i was 13 weeks pregnant with my son. this is our song, forever.
The baby is not in your stomach......... lol....... you didn't eat it (or did you?) ;) It's in your uterus .... you could say belly (which would contain anything that's inside the body in that area) but stomach......... I'll never get why people say such stupid thing.
Saw this right before my last birthday, as it came out the same week. I remember sitting in the audience with my mom, and we were both sobbing. I just laid my head down on her shoulder and she stroked my head in the theater and I felt so loved and comforted in that moment.
The same thing happened to me. My mom started crying, and me and my grandma did too, and we just held each other. I still cry every time I watch this movie.
I think this really shows how stubborn Donna was. She wasn't going to ask for help. Sam really dashed what hope she had for that. But it's a good thing someone helped Donna giving birth can actually be pretty dangerous. All kind of stuff can go wrong. And Often your in labor for hours if not days.
@@thephoenixdevil4817 In the first movie Sophie said to Bill that the old lady was who she was named after- meaning her name was likely Sophie, Sofie, Sofia, or something along that type of name- so the commenter was referring to her
Sophie was the REAL love of Donna’s life not Sam. Such a beautiful scene to see how she was ready to give birth on her own and that wonderful lady helped her
I'm always crying watching this moment. My mum rised me all by herslef too and was always there for me no matter how hard times she had :( "I'll be a good mum, I swear. You'll see how much I care when you need me" THANK YOU MUM 😭❤
Flavia Boi it was a joke. Because my brother and sister in law got married. Wanted kids. And so I was just waiting and hoping. My twin nephews are due in 5 weeks time now! I didn’t even know she was pregnant at this time 😹
Let's all take a moment to appreciate how much it takes to be a mother No matter the circumstances, it isn't easy So take the time to love and care for your mother, before it's too late edit: and i'm not a mother
I still can’t believe how Ruby was so selfish to her own daughter leading up to her passing. She disowns her like garbage just because she‘s pregnant and isn’t married, not realizing how much she has accomplished!
I was watching the movie with my mum the other night. And I actually had the thought that young Donna should’ve sung it as well as she was preparing to bring Sophie into the world.
This reminds me of my grandpa. About how he was suprised with a beautiful baby girl six months after he did what no parent had to do, bury a child, something that would haunt him till the day he died. My grandmother got a call from the hospital she used to work at and was told about an abandoned baby who needed a good home. All grandpa ever wanted more than anything was to have a daughter. The moment he saw my mom he felt as if he had waited a long time for her. She was his angel and he loved her dearly.
i cry a lot every time I watch this, it gives me hope in a way, hope that one day I'll have children of my own. this will definitely be one of the songs I sing to my future children
At the end when everyone was singing super trooper, when Donna and the girl who was playing her when she was young were bonding I was like "no she's Sophie's!" I got jealous for Sophie...
This movie, especially the second one, really warms my heart. Donna wasn’t alone. She had Sophie all along. I bawled my eyes out when I realized Donna died.
I love this movie. But young Donna's part of the plpt is 1000x more interesting than the sophie part. I wouldn't have minded if this was a pure prequel. I found myself just waiting for the flashbacks.

1:59 poor Donna, she was ready to give birth on her own.She set up pillows and everything ☹️ Sophia was really her mom.

Ruby finally realizes the error of her ways, but’s it’s too late to make it up to poor Donna....
She can make it up, by being apart of sophie and her baby's lives now.
She'd better, Sophie & Donny are the last good things Ruby has left of Donna
Sophia was a better mother anyways tho

I, I have known love before
I thought it would no more
Take on a new direction
Still, strange as it seems to be
It's truly new to me
That affection
I, I don't know what you do
You make me think that you
Will change my life forever
I, I'll always want you near
Give up on you, my dear
I will never
You thrill me, you delight me
You please me, you excite me
You're all that
I've been yearning for
I love you, I adore you
I lay my life before you
I only want you more and more
And finally it seems
My lonely days are through
I've been waiting for you
I'll carry you all the way
And you'll choose the day
When you're prepared to greet me
I'll be a good mum, I swear
You'll see how much I care
When you meet me
You thrill me, you delight me
You please me, you excite me
You're all that
I've been yearning for
I love you, I adore you
I lay my life before you
I only want you more and more
And finally it seems
My lonely days are through
I've been waiting for you
Oh
