Tyler Ed and Freddy cheers for the amazing content and inspiration for me to start workin on car-things. The frustration is real. Tyler says some passionate words while trying to assist Ed with navigating a school bus though the woods, only to get a flat tire on his wife's grocery getter. Tavarish actually offers to help change it, until Tyler dropped the spare right on the hood of his harlequin version of an Audi wagon.
I love how Tyler understood the task and Ed and Freddy saw "bad" and went for a bad car, the task was to get a bad offroader, not a bad car, IE: could've taken a brand new sedan in perfect condition 2WD, it would've been a bad offroader
Sorry I'm new to the page but was it not Ed who brang the rover?? Possibly the worst rated offroader/4x4 there is.. unless you own one you hate them haha

We’re in Florence Oregon durging the usual rain storm, and wanting to go north. Some 4 wheeler just came into town from the north, said logging trail was rough. I asked him for directions, so I wouldn’t have to drive east to Eugene, north then cut back to the coast, just to save me 5 hours. He then asked what I was driving. I pointed out to my 34 foot Pace Arrow motor home. He said no effing way. I drove north near the sea lions cave where the highway was closed. After much chatter, the staters wouldn’t tell me where the turn off was so I went about to find it, and find it I did. Noticing many colored markers for loggers to drive, I picked a color, drove inland 20 miles or so, stopped for some scenic photo, and manned the CB radio. Someone radioed about some idiot in a motor home lost in the woods. I got in on the chatter, stating I was the idiot looking for the new lazy days rv park. Eventually found my way way around the highway washout. There was only one soggy left turn I felt the rear end drop in the bog but I punched the big block and powered my way out. Big win in my book.
@@justplain8793 He does not sound like some soy boy to be honest. The news stories usually are the ones sporting soy boys and their more-than-equal yoga kweens not even knowing where the engine compartment was in their car.
As someone who has been off-roading for most of their life, I had never heard the term overlanding until youtubers got really into it a few years ago. Other common terms would be "four bying" (like 4x4), mudding, going off road, etc, but literally never heard overlanding until recently. When I hear folks use the term overlanding I immediately think "Oh great, someone who spent a ton of money on some shit they don't know how to use because they saw a youtube video. They're gonna make a ton of mistakes" and that's been pretty spot on. Lol that range rover is not worth $85k. It's maybe worth $40k if they're lucky. The extra axle takes away a ton of the value because it makes it a much worse car. Range Rovers aren't popular in the united states and don't fetch the same price they do elsewhere because we have a ton of options when it comes to off road vehicles.
I went off-roading through Romanian forests in tiny Ford Mavericks this year with a couple friends and it was the best experience Ive had in a long time. From going through a muddy trail shortly after rain sliding all over the place to deep forest paths with extreme incline where you had to really go in with speed or you wouldnt make it and navigating through thick forests, seeing the beautiful Romanian landscape and enjoying slamming gears in the cars. The people we did this with are called OMTA Offroad and theyll be offering this experience sometime next year for anyone to enjoy for a really reasonable price.
@@mustachio2 Compared to the first gen Mavericks that we had the new one is massive, it would never fit through the forests we went through. There were some tight squeezes even for the small two door Mavericks and one of my friends managed to turn into a tree while shooting in between two trees leaving a massive dent just behind the door. Luckily it was only visual damage and the car was totally fine. They even had a Nissan Patrol two-door Y61 with meaty offroad tires, independent suspension and every other gadget and function you could wish for in an offroad car, but the car was way too big for the narrow paths we traveled.
Isnt it amazing how strong of an influence OG Top Gear had on all present day car content? Got to give to Andy and Jeremy for creating a legacy of a concept.
Freddy did not understand, how the old quattro torsen system works. Offroading you have to pin the throttle and let the slow computer work and apply the brake to the front or rear axle. but eventually it definitly WILL pull you out of EVERY ditch.
46:00 -"supervising to make sure everything was done right" I don't see a blanket on those trees when you were using them with the winch. You need a blanket, a jacket, or some other cover to protect the bark if you use it as a winch point.
in my honest opinion. These videos are consistently getting better. This film squad is really on par with major productions (Top Gear). Hats off to all of you!
@@bt147258 why not this performance my not have the budget or glamor of current Top Gear but writing and content is there. The new or what is now past (As it's been canceled) Top Gear was terrible. I'm sure we both can agree since Clarkson,Hammond, and May the show is sub-par at best. And it's good to see some content creators taking there well deserved shot.
Those of us who grew up out there are laughing at you clearly being just out of The Dalles, but the pin on the map shows you at the Blue Mountains still.
Right! Then crossed over the Columbia without knowing it to mount st Helen’s… Atleast they got a good nights sleep at the Shiloh inn in the Dallas. I was there when they were. The multi colored Audi is what caught my attention
Can we just take a minute to salute Clarkson and Co on Top Gear and the Grand Tour? When 3 fifty something guys spend 12hour days scraping through nightmares of getting stuck/broken on appalling roads it's truly epic. When you see Jeremy getting emotional at the end of a nightmare journey you KNOW it's been too real. Respect due. There's no sticking to roads cos Wilman makes sure they don't have that option....they've got a great back up crew but the pain is very real....

I love the rangerover. I used to walk by a dealership on park lane, Hyde park, London in the early 80s. The company was called “symbol “. Everything they made was for rich Arabs, so 6 wheels, 8 wheels, pools, helipads etc.. if you had money to blow on a ridiculous rangerover, Mercedes’, jag, etc. they would build it for you. I left my face grease on that window, every week, drooling over the extreme vehicles, my fave being the Panther 6, I think it was called.. man they were ridiculous…

The news stories usually are the ones sporting soy boys and their more-than-equal yoga kweens not even knowing where the engine compartment was in their car.
Freddy in that Audi looks like he definitely has stolen luggage.
I can't decide if this is the best Car Trek ever...they are all so good!❤🏁🍾
I would have never thought the Maserati would have been as reliable as it was. Mind blown!
Sounds like a good time with good friends
Heyy! I'm Romanian!
cool story bro
It's funny because the new ford maverick is actually pretty capable off road. Great little pickup
So happy to see my home washington featured. Its so beautiful here!
20 yrs from now I will be very upset if you guys aren't still Car Trek'n...love this....just love it!!!
@@Maintavarish07 I don't need it, but Ty, just keep up the awesome content.👌👍😀
Great so far. Except for Freddy’s pronunciation of Oregon 😂
How is it so hard to pronounce Oregon 😂
I almost said the same🤦🏻
This was a good one. I liked the 80s integration of the game.
And to be truthful it kinda went on the game just how this trip went for these guys ! And it was funny how they threw that in there !
Very nostalgic, I loved it
I used to get so much entertainment watching people try to get unstuck at that same exact location on the beach! Good to see I still can
Isnt it amazing how strong of an influence OG Top Gear had on all present day car content?
Got to give to Andy and Jeremy for creating a legacy of a concept.
Not really they just copied it this is nothing original with terrible 2000's realty show acting
49:05 - is by far one of the funniest things i've seen on a "reality" show. The fact he got mad at them too was just comedy at it's finest.
Have you EVER watched any Top Gear episode?? Interesting adventures here but it's a shame they're so un-funny 💔
@@mrlilmatt123, way funnier than one trick pony Clarkson who’s only bit is being an upset boomer.
I had to rewatch that 49:05 and didn't find anything funny there...🤷♂️
@@TermlessHGW from that time stamp forward.
@@wolfg.1867 I think the worldwide viewing figures might suggest you're in the minority with that thought, but each to their own I guess!
Freddy did not understand, how the old quattro torsen system works. Offroading you have to pin the throttle and let the slow computer work and apply the brake to the front or rear axle. but eventually it definitly WILL pull you out of EVERY ditch.
46:00 -"supervising to make sure everything was done right"
I don't see a blanket on those trees when you were using them with the winch. You need a blanket, a jacket, or some other cover to protect the bark if you use it as a winch point.
'I've been manhandling wood all day.' 🤣🤣 gigiddy
Why does Ed and Fred remind me of Ernie and Bert from Sesame Street?
(That kinda leaves Hoovie looking a bit like Beaker from Muppet Labs.....)
Can’t wait to see what you do with the P1 🤩🤩
44:17 ...Freddy just went full country, and I'm all here for it!
in my honest opinion. These videos are consistently getting better. This film squad is really on par with major productions (Top Gear). Hats off to all of you!
Please dont compare to uk top gear..
Right! Then crossed over the Columbia without knowing it to mount st Helen’s…
Atleast they got a good nights sleep at the Shiloh inn in the Dallas. I was there when they were. The multi colored Audi is what caught my attention
I’m sad I didn’t know they were in The Dalles. It would’ve been cool to see them.
I was very confused by the map too
Looks like a bunch of this was on the WABDR or nearby trails......
This is great stuff, Ed is a truly talented comedian
Legendary trek again! Thank it to the trek trio … Man I loved the 90s PC cuts scenes. Not only is it a fun adventure but it’s the excellent production. Hats off to all 🎉
Holy crap. I am dying inside every time he mispronounces Oregon.
literally came to the comments to see if I was the only one lol
yes, dieing
just posted about this...one would think, but I guess it is expecting too much to have someone get it right.
It's more fun to see the people that cry about it because WE ARE THE ONLY ones apparently that can say it right. I was born and raised in Portland and Apparently I say it wrong too ha ha
How do you pronounce it?
Fun show, would love to have followed you guys in my 02 subaru outback h6, 95 percent sure, it would have outdone everything you guys did.
Friend of mine nicknamed it the "Tractor " for a reason.
Its been through ww3 and back.
Fine for around the farm, but no longer roadworthy.
Merry Xmas Freddy, Ed, Tyler, and all the people involved in making all these CarTreks. 👍
Comforcers sticky when dry 😂
Ed is very great full with how many times he has said “thank you” and I appreciate Ed
Great episode and really well done!
You guys are absolutely a perfect trio for car geeks, new flavors of comedy coming in and very fun to watch, awesome camera angles, beautifully put together. Keep them coming, let's see a TV show release someday
Tv show is old school. No way
That’s almost like moving backwards nowadays. Streaming and content creation is the future of entertainment
@@jackbolen4532 truth, let's keep them coming
Thank you for this surprise Freddy. Special thanks to our sponsors AutoTempest. And don't forget with shitboxes like this, wrench everyday!
Please keep this series going & never go to television. It’s perfect how it is! (Y’all should definitely do some kind of truck episode next)
"was probably worried Ed wanted to spoon with him ". .. classic Hoovie 🤣
This is giving really really hard Top gear / GT vibes and I love it.
This was epic. I wish you guys had an unlimited budget to make entire tv show long seasons. Love watching you guys.
This seems like this season of car trek got some more production..... It's looking great!!! Very fun to watch.... Well done you guys!
Tyler throwing his spare had me dying
I loved Freddy demonstrating that if you wear a black Car Trek t-shirt with a seat belt, it reads "Car Rek"!
When Tavarish said that cars a hunk of shit about Ed’s range, I nearly choked haha
This has been a AWESOME WONDERFUL surprise for Christmas Day, one of the best shows I have watched today. Love the 3 of you together you got such chemistry together and make amazing content. I will forever be a fan of yours. Keep up the good work fellas. 😀 🏴
