What is awful is this "rash" of so-called critics ripping films no matter what they see, as if qualified. People deconstructing someone else's work as if you knew a damn thing about making a movie. I watched a couple reviews and then went to go observe this film and was truly surprised by a popcorn flick that does not claim to be more and was fun and effective. I listened to reviews claiming there were at least 4 FULL songs we had to sit through by Night's daughter Saleka and there was not one that played more than 52 seconds of a song. The hate and exaggeration kill me. Movies like any other art are in fact art created by artists. They are not going to appeal to everyone. That is impossible, but those of you who do not like someone's work bash it like you could do better. Amazing you guys love to hear yourselves speak so much that you have to do it on camera and publish hoping that you can force your bullshit down our throat. Wow.

"A man becomes a critic when he cannot be an artist, the same way that a man becomes an informer when he cannot be a soldier") It’s not so bad to be a critic as to misinform the viewer about what is in the film and what is not there, and even build some loud conclusions on these false premises. I understand that extremely negative reviews get more attention and likes on RUclips, but don’t become a hostage to this)
@psychopath1970 I hate to break it too you but some reviews are low scores, and it seems to be a wide consensus with this movie. If we thought it was good, we would say so our channel is too small to have some hidden agenda. We like his films and know he can make some great movies, so that makes this dud sting a bit more. You'd have to turn your brain completely off, or not have one imo, to like this movie. If this was even remotely real life, he would have gotten caught MULTIPLE times. ANY man trying to get out of the area in an alternate way would have been caught. Him on the roof, him going backstage, him following the employee to the stock room, him asking to exit out a backdoor, I mean shit even a MAN asking to talk to a POP STAR ALONE should have had alarm bells ringing hard core!
I don't think it's awful I kind of enjoyed it mostly due to the music and Josh hartnett's performance at the butcher still this movie is fun and better than I expected to be still that is your opinion and I respected that. While I was about to head in to see the movie I decide to take a look at a borderland showing to see how many people are inside and it looks like no people showed up with shows how much people don't want to see this movie.
Trap was a fun movie to watch. Different people, obviously, appreciate different things. You will find a myriad of people who agree with you, but that does not mean the movie IS awful. It only means the two of you think it is, and that is okay. My daughter and I loved it. Everyone at the theater was applauding and had a great time, too. Therefore, I feel that ''We didn't like the movie'' is a lot more accurate than saying ''The movie is awful.''. I have a RUclips channel myself. I try to word things without generalizing them. My experiences are only my own, I cannot declare them everyone else's reality.
