I always wonder why people complain when bikes don't change style every couple years. I think some of the older bikes are just as cool looking as new ones and some even perform just as well lol
@@mxrevivalgreat video, your enthusiasm is really positive. Great riding too. I still have my 1989 RM250 as well (in my shop) among other MX bikes. What a great bike, agreed👌😎

Thanks for watching! Actually started doing a couple things to the bike again this week…. Something about that body style man, so sexy. Bigger pegs are installed, and what a lifesaver they were! Have to drill the peg out to 10 mm on the 89 specifically, but they will bolt right onto the 90 Have a great weekend!
Great video for getting me hyped for my ride today. Those bikes had a very good feel low boy tank and Great handling...taller seat will help for modern feel..also recommend you go through and beef up the welds, particularly around the triple tree/ head stay. 😁👍🏁 raining yellow 💛
Such a killer bike! I raced the ‘88 Rm 250 ( Hannah’s input) which was absolutely amazing and quite different from the ‘89 (Omara’s input). I would be so stoked to pick up one of these, restore it, and race some vintage mx!! Congratulations on an exceptional find.
These are great bikes. Bob Hannah and Johnny Omara were a big part of the development of these machines. I completed a frame of restoration on a 1991 RM 125. These bikes are great performers and look sexy as F***
89 was a new body style for Suzuki at that time. Sooo much better than the 85-88 body styles. I've ridden the 125 and thought it was a good bike. A low end Monster!
That was part of the reason I jumped on this one! So much better looking than the previous with that crazy radiator shroud on one side. Those look cool too, don't get me wrong. I think this one was just a lot more like what we're used to nowadays as well so it was a great entry point to vintage for me. Getting me pumped for the 125, Brian
Agreed! The 1989 RM’s (I’ve a 250) were really designed aesthetically very good looking, and “modern” looking in my opinion?! Personally feel that they are some of the best looking MX bikes ever made🔥👌just my opinion though😊
Awesome job Charles, I bet you couldn’t stop smiling while riding this bike.I can’t believe you found one in such original condition so close. Keep up the great video’s.

This was the bike that Bob Hannah designed. It was his finished product, unlike the '87 & '88 RMs, which were only refined versions of the '86. I think he did a spectacular job, and so did the American public judging by how many of these bikes were sold.
