Out of the box the X5 M is extremely gorgeous with those tasty rims, I don't know why would anyone want to desecrate the car's image.
It looks great, but I honestly prefer the OEM wheels. they suit this car better. it lookes amazing lowered btw

I have an X5M Competition, It's not got 2000 miles on the clock yet and I would not think about modifying it.. The 22/21 wheels are amazing as stock and the ride height is (in my opinion) perfect.. The handling is like it's on rails... Just set up the M1 or M2 buttons to harder suspension, more responsive braking and throttle as well as more responsive engine and it's perfect.. But I'm not taking it on a track...
I love the lowered look. Makes the rear end look fuller. Makes me want to lower mine now.
Wheels look like a set of TSW Venom's from back in the day
Hi Archie. I'm driving a similar car. Same colour, 21 reg. I've had it fir nearly 18 months ago. I haven't had any mods done yet. I'm only considering the MMS suspension. Is it worth it? Does it drive better?
Final question, do you need to inform the insurers about the mms suspension?

Slap back the OEM wheels, i did say last week that this car looks epic, stock, all that was needed was slapping in the ESS springs and retaining everything else..

The X5M looks nice but, stock rims with the silver contrast looked better.
Looks great lowered.But I’m so bored of the black wheels trend.The Vossens would look so much classier on the car in silver,or Titanium or even part painted part diamond cut

I was thinking about lowering my X3 M40i on Eibach springs instead of the MSS. What made you choose the MSS? The air suspension? (X3 doesn’t have)
MSS are adjustable compared to the Eibach's. Went with the Eibach's on my X3 M comp and am not disappointed. Slightly softer ride (and I mean very slightly 😂) but handles great.

Should 4x4s be lower? Take it off-roading lad and give it some ground clearance... That would be sick content! There are some amazing trails down Scotland & Wales or you could do an overland build.

Well lad, looks like I was wrong about the original wheels being fine. The new wheels and the new springs make it look right. It looks more, can't think of a term to fit what I'm thinking. Better is not the right word, but it is much better for the mods you have just had done to it. I don't think this about all your cars or the mods you do, but you've done a really good job on this one. Glad the car is behaving.
New wheels look loads better, tyres need some tyre gel on there and they will look a lot better aswell. What we need is you and jonnie on track at the same time hooning around.
On a serious note do you have any gear on yeah ?
Archie, get some wider rear tyres. Those look super stretched for the size of the rear wheels. (+plus it looks odd) Nice upgrade thou!

What size vossen wheels did you buy? Are they the same size as stocks? 21 and 22. I want to get them too, have the same car..
Nice one Archie. Personally I do prefer the new wheels, I realise others don't but that's just differing opinions. Overall I think the car does look better.

Looks amazing. My x3 m40i had a set of similar black rims in the shop. Went from 21’s down to 20’s. I am trying to sort lowering springs now.

Agree, I think the colour of the Ferrari wheels outside would have looked way better. It’s a great looking car though in that colour. Definitely looks better with less of a gap between the wheel and arch.

So the X5M has awful ride as standard, don’t know how you’ve improved it by lowering it with I’m guessing shorter obviously stiffer springs. The larte body kits look great for the X5

As an X5 owner I already think the car is too low and would prefer a ride height similar to a Range Rover, so to lower the car makes no sense to me 🤦🏽♂️

Do you not find your videos would do better views wise if you uploaded around 5-6pm uk time instead of mid day when most people are at work ? Just a suggestion I maybe wrong but some people may miss it if it’s uploaded early in the day but then I suppose if there subscribed they won’t

Sorry, but new wheels look awful. You loose the definition with all black. Now looks like someone’s standard X5 made to look like an X5M. As others have said, BMW spend millions to make it the way it is for a reason. Modder’s don’t know better. OEM wheels look for more aggressive and noticeable. New ones just get lost with all black! Sorry

I know you like modifying your cars but in my opinion you’ve made shite of it. It looked unbelievable before but the black wheels are terrible. Obviously it’s personal taste but I can’t understand these decisions.
