      @sameer-kamat 5 лет назад

      @@NexusAIInnovations Cost shouldn't be the only criterion to select the program. If you don't have other strong reasons (like a clear career goal where the program will help) and a backup plan, it may not be the right approach. There are also language issues to be aware of. Do you speak German?

    I was wondering what are the chances of getting into a top Business school when:
    -Not a graduate of a reputable school and a not so high GPA in college
    -High GMAT score
    -Career experience by starting an entrepreneurial venture for a few years aimed towards creating social impact

      @MBACrystalBall  4 года назад +2

      While it's not practical to predict chances, we see folks like with those traits getting into good programs every year. Send us an email if you already have a confirmed (and high) GMAT score along with your profile details.

    Hello Team MCB.
    I have been following your blog for last 2 months. your articles on MBA abroad are purely based on reality. i wish you all the best to carry on this great work for upcoming years too.
    my doubts are as follows.
    1. Does an MBA after a government job is preferable
    2. Does an MBA after a government job reduce the chance of getting selected in those elite B-Schools?
    3. On what direction one should travel to have a great profile for appling B schools ? What does a great profile look like?

    • @MBACrystalBall
      @MBACrystalBall  5 лет назад +2

      Thanks, Sharuk. Responses below.
      1. The preference should be driven by your career goals.
      2. No, but you'll need to put in extra thought into presenting your career graph and goals in your application.
      3. There's no 'great' profile. But there are ways in which you can improve and build your profile. We have a separate video on that on our channel.

    Hi Sameer, first of all a very insightful video! I am a working professional with 15 years experience and with last five years in leadership roles. I want to change direction of my career and take up more Senior and Strategic roles.
    It would be helpful if you could share your insights regarding whether it’s right age for me to do MBA, what all colleges should I consider and how to prepare myself for the same.
    Look forward to your reply. Thanks

      Yes, there are merit-based scholarships at all the top bschools. GMAT is one of the important aspects they look at , but there are many others too. We've covered MBA scholarships in detail in this video: ruclips.net/video/SQ_Gmshu7G8/видео.html

    Do all the students are provided with the opportunity of selecting their specialization, irrespective of what they have mentioned in their SOP. After 1st year

    • @MBACrystalBall
      @MBACrystalBall  5 лет назад +2

      Yes, what students mention in their MBA essays / SoPs are indicative. They are free to change their minds when they start the program and develop new interests. Check out our video on MBA specializations to get a better idea of how electives work.

    my queries are:
    1) does the college where one did his/her bachelors matters to get admission in stanford?
    2) someone who have just completed his/her bachelors would have no to little work experience, can they still get into stanford?

    • @MBACrystalBall
      @MBACrystalBall  Год назад

      1. Yes, the bachelors degree matters.
      2. Very unlikely. Better to be patient and get some work experience first.

    Hello Sameer,
    How are you ?
    I want to talk with you regarding my career.
    I am confusing right now ,actually i have experience in sales and marketing but now i have also interest in Analyst profile like Data analyst and Market research analyst profile.
    So, I want to know where i should go and choose right path.
    I am waiting your response.
    Best Regards,
    Vasudev Shah

      Hi Vasudev, a few queries to understand the dilemma better. What is it that you don't like about sales and marketing? What is it about data analytics that you find interesting? How much research have you done about the field? What options are you considering to move into it?

    • @vasudevshah944
      @vasudevshah944 5 лет назад

      @@MBACrystalBall like future , means stability and one limitation of money into sales and marketing.
      In analytics i can make money after few year and i search about analyst and i saw that in future job .
      i just see in sales if i go with it may be some limitation of career and money.
      The main reason of these confusion.
      If i choose sales then limitation of career and if analytics may be beyond the limitation and money too.

    • @MBACrystalBall
      @MBACrystalBall  5 лет назад

      Thanks for clarifying. You may be making assumptions that may necessarily hold true. For instance, the assumption that you'll definitely make more money in analytics and the career will surely be better. There are many working in the analytics field who aren't happy. Before you take the plunge, talk to people who're working in the field and ask them what they like/dislike about the field. Ask them what new entrants can expect in salary. Then take a call.
