Amateur Radio: 73 to Stu aka Larnelle de W4WFC K. Translation: Best Wishes to Larnelle from William Freddy Curtis End of Transmission......Andy thanks for having this icon on your podcast!!
I had been buying Christian vinyl for years but the first CD I got was by Larnelle. I don't know who was the first Christian artist on CD but he was one of the first, for sure. And thanks for this wonderful conversation, Andy and Larnelle, and I first played Larnelle records on the radio when I was on-air as Servant Robb at Contemporary Gospel WBZE Power 1030 in Washington DC back in the '80s, thankful for those years of serving the DC audience.
Larnelle Is a very kind man. I played bass for him back around 2010- 13 ( I think that was the time frame), with the classic Christian tour, along with Steve Green, Twila Paris, and a few others. I was In the band that played for all of them. Great time.
For a very long time The Holy Spirit sings and reminds me " I miss my time with you, those moments together, I need to be with each day and it hurts me when you say you're too busy Trying to serve me, but how can you serve me when your spirits empty? There's a longing in my heart wanting more than just a part of you it's truuoooò I miss my time with you!!. It's etched in my heart. Thank you so much.
All who love and adore Larnelle's music should be overjoyed to know that all of Larnelle's music was recently added to streaming platforms. Check the one you use.
What an INCREDIBLE episode. I am in tears, partly because I didn't want it to be over yet - partly because there are times when you're a little afraid to hear too much from someone you've admired from afar, hoping - but not knowing - if they will live up to your perceptions of who they are. Larnelle blew them out of the water. This is by far my favorite episode. There were times I literally lifted my hands in worship....because I knew he was speaking God's wisdom. Thank you for this one.
This was special in so many ways. Very, very inspiring and informative. This is what being a premium subscriber is all about. And just when you thought that the last one was the bomb... KABOOM!!!
Wow. WOW! My new favorite episode! It’s so wonderful to hear Larnelle express his heart so clearly…and to walk away even MORE impressed with the man! Thank you for all of these Andy, but especially for this one!
"I Miss My Time With You" is a song that is constantly on my lips and on my mind. As a sufferer of ADHD, it is so difficult to make time to sit with the Lord, much less be consistent and focused during that time. I have found that songs often come to the forefront of my mind that allow me to be able to focus on and dwell for a short period on God and His greatness.
@@terryleblanc5268 I've known I was undiagnosed ADHD for years, but since the Rona It has been a brick wall, a hard reality. I'm struggling with it and the anxiety that comes with it. I started a book on ADHD named _Scattered Minds_ by Gabor Mate. But I haven't finished it because I can't focus on it. However, in the first few chapters he was speaking to me enough that it brought tears to read it. I know there are some solutions in the later chapters, I just have to get to them!
I hate to say this but I disagree with you about today’s Christian music. It’s all the same it’s all very simplistic in lyrics and a lot of is the same verse over and over. I barely listen to Christian music today

Oh I'm adhd too. It's so difficult to be consistent. I'm learning to realize I'm loved and accepted and was created this way.
