@BuckleUpShow It was. I am just going to buy the ACTIVE version of the car and was looking for some information about the options of settings of the driver's panel, the one right behind the steering wheel. I didn't find the info in your video but learnt a lot of other useful information... and I just love the way you speak English and pronounce words. Best regards! 🙂👍
@BuckleUpShow I'm so sorry, I should've specified the 6'6"/7' width barriers that are on city centre roads. My apologies, but thank you for the height information.
Ah, width restrictors? The Kuga is 1882 mm excluding mirrors (2117 including mirrors), which if the restrictor is just at road level, means it is 6'2.1" so plenty of space. If the restrictor reaches mirror height, you have a vehicle width of 6'11.3" so you're good for a 7' width restrictor.
The interior rattles would be a concern for me and has been an issue with Fords I've owned in the past. This could have been easily improved for the facelift but they have just carried over the same plastics in the interior.
I have a 74 Kuga PHEV and most of the rear noise stemmed from the rear seatbelt clips rattling against the side/door. Making sure these are not stuck in an awkward position stopped the noise.
Pre gen 2019 models actually looked liked faux SUV’s. This is nothing more than an ever so slightly raised discontinued Focus. Styling is at best described as mid 2010’s and interior is cheap and lacking in technology and layout whatever “sync” model it is. Only saving grace Ford have in the uk is all those Fiesta and Puma pcp customers it has wanting to renew is to go to this…
A bit harsh I think - I had one of these cars for a 24 hour test drive and I thought it was a good car. The tech onboard is fine, and offers everything that most people would need. I agree with the review in that what lets this car down is the interior quality which is below where it should be, Ford need to do better. However where this car really excels is in the driving department. I always try to get at least 60-90 minutes on a test drive on my own, and I’ve now test driven most of this cars rivals, and this car drives better than all of them.
@@rufdymond most people don’t want just “fine” especially with the new market. Ford in Europe do not do well for that reason… Buyers will realise that competition like Kia/ Hyundai provide much better products at better monthly deals!
When did people stop paying attention to the most important aspect...how a car drives. What's the point in a fancy screen if you're being either thrown about around corners or not feeling anything at all , just a bland boring drive that sends you to sleep. Drove a Tucson and Kuga for 45 mins each this weekend. Kuga was a much better drive, Tucson had a nicer screen. When you've got the family in the car, you want to enjoy the drive so it takes away from the inevitable meltdowns and kick offs in the back!
Good job! Thank you. Greetings from Poland! 🙂👍🇵🇱
Thank you! Hope it was useful ☺️

The digital gauge cluster is quite configurable, even allowing you to select a range of options to display in a "custom" list to scroll through!
Good review just ordered one in France which uses E85 at 75 cents a litre
That's a nice low price for fuel!
Nice review looks a great car
Green is always good
I have 2.5 vignale great drive but hate the lane tracking system
At least it can be disabled, does it just get on your nerves on a lot of the roads you drive on?
Have you ever driven these through a 6'6" /7' barrier? Do they fit at all?
This generation of Kuga is only a maximum of 1742mm tall. This is 5'8.6", so safe to assume it will fit under the barrier heights you ask about.

@@BuckleUpShow wow, thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it!
Mentioning the lane tracking system on a road with no tracks 😁 i hope it doesnt take over too much i find that unnerving.
Do you mean a track with no lanes #pedantry
Jasper Bruce Wright test driven Ford Kuga also known as Escape PHEV model .
Yes in other markets this is called an escape

You could just pretend Liam Gallagher is playing tambourine in the back seat

Great review Jasper but please cut down the background music at the start. It was a bit hard to hear your dulcet voice over. 😆😆😆
For our own improvement can you tell us what device/audio system you are listening on?
@@BuckleUpShow Hi. I listen to you guys on You Tube on a HP Chromebook. Keep up the fantastic work!
says in the manual that L means low range, got the pre facelift version - L is definately low range
Reporting from trusted sources online suggests that in the case of the PHEV it significantly increases regenerative braking as its primary function.
Yes, please cut the music once the presenter starts talking. Good 8/10 Jasper Thigh Score this time. #JasperThighAppreciationSociety

@@BuckleUpShow I watch RUclips on my TV.
Amazing car!
It's good, but not as good as something like the Tucson, which may just be our favourite in the segmenf
Like Kuga is also Escape Evos should also be Electron .
Pardon?
Maybe the question you should also ask is whether Fords are still unreliable
CarGurus states that Ford are the 9th most reliable car brand in the UK based on data from warranty wise
1985 wants its joke back pal

It’s actually on the *right* side
@@BuckleUpShow I know better, my KUGA will be delivered next week and the steering wheel is on the left!

Kia and Hyundai have problems with the 1.6 petrol engine, they started to cut corners also.
