We got an answer to Lisa's death in "Six Feet Under". Season 4 Episode 12 "Untitled", Nate goes to confront Lisa's sister Barb and her husband Hoyt, after finding a picture of Lisa taken on the day of her disappearance. Turned out Hoyt and Lisa were having an affair, and Lisa went north the day she disappeared to break things off with Hoyt. He murdered her, and when confronted by Nate, he shoots himself in the mouth.

The Soprano's has a definitive answer, both from David Chase and in universe.
Tony is executed by the Members Only jacket guy (an homage to The Godfather) as he comes out of the restroom. Tony is distracted as Meadow enters the diner. He looks up and the cut to black is his death. Shot in the head.
They discuss it throughout the last few seasons, foreshadowing his fate. "You probably never hear it coming", and seeing an execution happen in a very similar manner.

The ending was obvious. Tony died. The creator accidentally confirmed this by referring to it as the "death scene". ...... In any case, it was never confusing at all. The camera switched between our POV (third person) and Tony's POV (first person). The final switch was to a blank screen, because Tony is dead. Very clear, very obvious.

I can answer the Avatar question, they still had Dragons back then. Sozin may have started the tradition of hunting Dragons for sport, but it wasn't until 100 years later when the Dragon of the West; aka Uncle Iroh, was thought to have slain the last of the Dragons.
Before then though, Dragons were probably how elites got around quickly. Even though they were probably limited to only a few, they'd still be able to get a sizable squadron up into position if they were both lucky enough; and quiet enough. Or perhaps, aggressive enough; about it.

I also forgot that some of the firebenders can, in fact; fly. Or close to it. Which also seems to be a technique reserved for the elite, and/or especially talented. How the hell did I forget that?!

Didn't we literally see Woller get shot in the eye in the future in season 2 in another dimension, when he was younger before he travels to the season 1 timeline, as far as your question on DARK?
Lisa definitely got murdered in an affair and was made to look like a suicide. Ironically, when confronted with this, her lover kills himself rather than lives with the guilt. Season 4 of SFU was... odd.

  • @Wolf359inc

I really need to rewatch the third season of Twin Peaks.
I remember it completely differently to almost everyone else. For instance, at the end, Cooper finds the woman, asks her if she is Laura Palmer, and she screams. Electricity flickers, but no blackout. Cut to black with her still screaming. The end. Roll credits.
Was the stuff about them in the Black Lodge an end credits scene? I usually watch credits, for their own sake, but don’t recall anything during/ after them?
Did we receive a different cut of the series in Australia?
    Cheers,

I only saw a little of Avatar: The Last Airbender, but what I picked up from it was that the Fire Nation somehow harnessed the power of that comet, Souzen's Comet? Anyway, my imagination would be that the comet allowed the firebenders to grow flaming wings, fly themselves up to the sky temples, and incinerate the Wind Kingdom and all its denizens. After all, what can air benders do to fire benders except fan their flames? Kind of how although the Eyrie in Game of Thrones is impregnable, it surrendered its crown due to Visenya showing up, by herself, along with her dragon Vhagar

No, not really. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa completely lost the proverbial plot by the end of the show. Sometimes I wonder if WhatCulture writers really watch these shows or just frankenstein their videos out of scavenged lists from other articles floating around on the internet.

There was no rushed descendence into madness. It was clear a long time. Dany always wanted to burn down shit and take gruesome revenge on anyone in her way (but she was often stopped by good advisors). To keep calling it rushed doesn't make it so.
Tony Soprano died - it was clear when it happened (and since a long time also confirmed by David Chase). To not know this in 2024 is just really dumb. A channel like this should know this.

For cryin'g out loud, the Azor Ahai thing was OBVIOUSLY NOT to be taken LITERALLY how the hell is that so difficult to understand? Misunderstood prophecies that get fulfilled differently from what one would expect are a common trope in Shakespeare and Ancient Greek mythology and OBVIOUSLY the kind of thing and author like GRRM would take as inspiration rather than the more straightforward "tolkienesque" idea of propheces in modern fantasy; so yes, it is (!) real, Jon (!) is Azor Ahai, the "second darkness" is actually Daenerys almost reinstating the (ABSOULTELY HORRIBLE, another point people keep completely missing!...) Targaryan rule, while Dany is also his Nissa Nissa who he has to sacrifice in order to defeat said "darkness" (because she herself represents it, see also "Anakin actually does destroy the Sith, except that means including himself after becoming one first", also clearly inspired by ancient Greek tragedies...)

The episode was supposed to be she is alone on the ship with Reavers, and the syringe is filled with a chemical that poisons/kills anyone who grapes the person who has injected it into themselves.
So that was the jist of the episode. By the end, all the Reavers are dead and she is still alive and everyone else comes back from wherever they were.
