Love the surprise ending and looking forward to the next one. The drone shots of the red canoe portaging through the height of land on the background of trees was perfection.
You guys are delivering Happy Meals with this series and they've been delicious. "Northern Scavengers assemble" was a Big Mac moment. Smiles for miles. Been loving the duo and I can only imagine what the quad will bring.
Noah, you seem so much more energetic on these trips than you did back in your Grade 11 Travel and Tourism class!! Glad you have applied everything you learned in that class and made something of yourself! 😝 Honestly though guys, I love your channel and have shared it with many of my friends and family. I will continue to follow your crazy adventures and wish I was there with you. All the best to you and Alex!! - Mr. Tuohy (and my wife, Ms. Flagler (now Mrs. Tuohy).
Hey Mr. and Mrs. Tuohy! Thanks for following along. I still talk about the fact that Mrs. Flagler was the reason I turned around my Math marks and got into Laurier! We knew Keith had been following along but glad to see you as well. Would be great to catch up sometime! Alex
Dang, seeing that plane coming in gave me goosebumps, can't wait for episode 6 and seeing the crew battle the land together, let the EPICNESS continue!!!
Parmesan and mustard wrap, what a combo. Imagine serving that for lunch at home to your inlaws. The things that are acceptable when you’re camping. That ending was epic!
The ending certainly moved this series from very good to, hmm, one of the all time classics. Very entertaining to watch while the rivers and coastlines are frozen, not beeing able to go and canoe. 💪🏆
You buggers leaving us hanging like that. Is it Alex? Another great section. I agree with the others, the drone shot, a red canoe meandering through the woods is so cool! I'm surprised no fish?
31:04 I give that cornbread flip a perfect 10! Matty B. is the Nadia Comaneci of bushcraft cuisine! Put lots of jam on that...blackflies love a bit of sugar in their wine.
Geologist here!! Loved the little bit on geology, great job on your terms! For future reference, fluvial deposition is reserved for rivers as lacustrine deposition is for lakes. Cant wait for the next one, I watch these while working and it makes me feel like I'm adventuring instead.
I was dying when you ate that nasty wrap and said there's sand in it too. Kudos to you both for not going insane with the bugs in your ears at night. I couldn't do it.
Been going through a few rough weeks lately, feeling hella depressed…etc. I look forward to every Thursday tho for these videos. While I couldn’t deal with the bugs, the views you guys get to see make it almost worth it. In between the the thursdays( which seems like an eternity lol) I began looking back through your channel and have been watching alot lately. J wanted to put it out there that you’ve personally helped me alot. While it’s insignificant having something to look forward too has genuinely helped so thank you. Until next week✌️
You guys gotta get some Sealline Pro dry packs for your next trip. They are a bit more pricy but the straps and waist belt in particular are way better.
Not sure why your subscriber count is not higher then this. Love the floatplane entry! love the content! keep it coming guys. (my opinion only) add more fishing to your trips and i believe you will access a larger range of viewers. cheers guys.
I knew something was up when you guys sat longer than normal :) Would be nice to see how your canoe patch is surviving.. I still say you should be given a nice new red canoe...looking forward to the next one.
Excellent show. Thank you. The dragon fly at the very end freaked me out until I slowed and zoomed. Lol. Eagerly awaiting the next one to find out who steps off the plane. Blessings.
Nice videotaping. The tracking, nice points of view and the drone footage of that red canoe working its way through the country was very nice. once again thank you for posting
For your Dry-pack discussion in this vid, my vote goes to the Eureka Stormshield bags. Durable, really strong straps, well padded waist belts, handles where you need them etc.
great video coverage. I'm watching Jim and Ted make somewhat the same trip, the scenery is much different than their trip, super high water fast currents for them, limited campgrounds, eskers were the best.
That drone shot portaging the canoe through the trees....tree tops swaying in the wind the view of the lake to come, the music building up the shot...Epic shot guys. Loved that!
Just amazing the beautiful land yous are travelling thru. Just lovin the great sense of humour between you’s and all the great cooing ideas. Next vid will be awesome when You’s are all together. Thanks for all the hard work 😘
Years ago I bought a big 'ol used external frame pack. It's a bit bulky, but it fits in the canoe and is comfortable as anything, super durable, and great pack straps. Then just strap drybags or whatever else to the thing. It's turning into my favourite canoe pack. Cheers boys, loving the series, and you picked the perfect time of year to post it.
At 23:07, all I can say is that you guys are way tougher than I am. No way I could handle all those flying demons. The portaging, paddling, and roping, OK. Swarms of biting thingies? Nope. This is a great video. I will have to go watch the first four episodes. Rock on!
Love your videos! The scenery, the trials and tribulations, the comradery, all the hard work make your channel one of the best out there in utube land!
The ending was absolutely epic!! I can't imagine how incredible it must have felt to see that plane fly in and pull up to your site after being out there just the two of you for 18 days. Great editing too!
For sure that first section of up river travel could mostly be done with a pole. I feel the Glaciofluvial sediment, hard not to love a good eskar. Amazing the amount of water pressure under 1 or 2 miles of ice! Ill be over to check out Matt's first aid stuff.
Beautiful trip. By buddies and I did many 5 days on a river. Pretty easy no portages. I’m to old and fat for 30 days anymore. Love your channel. Take care.
Sealline Pro Dry Pack 70L and 120L. By far the best portage packs I have used. I loaned out my Kuiu Pack to a friend this summer for backpacking. I used my Sealline Pro Dry Pack for backpacking over 100 miles total. Never had any issues.
Awesome episode, love the honesty, the reality of backcountry bushwhacking. I look forward to the day I muster up the courage to take on such an awesome/crazy route! Thank you as always for sharing with us!
Hard core boys! You sure picked the right day for a break. Love the drone footage. I didn't know Matt had his own channel . I'm heading there after this video!
I only wonder why you packed so much food for the first two weeks, when you could have had a resupply with Alex and Eric coming in. When y'all demonstrated all the food you had left, all I could think about was all that extra weight on each portage, and if those supplies could have been on the mid-trip float plane drop. Great show too, can't wait for each episode.
Way to leave us on a cliffhanger! Put the next episode out a little early, will ya? Very much enjoyed this episode. Thank you for the info about the first aid kit and food prep!
What an episode. Well deserved couple of down days. It was a super hard push to get that down time. Good thing that battery pack is good with Alex showing up. I may have known he was coming in, I was talking to Andrew A the day he left. Keep the wonderful videos coming.
Great video as always. I always wait for these! For the gear you cursed: My humble opinion is to at least consider, Savotta's gear. Military grade, however of course, not light. But it is bomb proof. Maybe an orange rain cover, so you can find it in the woods. Finnish made so one might think it's suitable for Canada as well. RUclipsr: The Outdoor gear review channel has great review videos of Savotta and others if you think about upgrade. But as I have also told my girlfriend: That brand is an investment, but can be passed on for generations
Love the surprise ending and looking forward to the next one. The drone shots of the red canoe portaging through the height of land on the background of trees was perfection.
Exactly what I was thinking during that shot!
👌👌
You guys are delivering Happy Meals with this series and they've been delicious. "Northern Scavengers assemble" was a Big Mac moment. Smiles for miles. Been loving the duo and I can only imagine what the quad will bring.
Guys - that overhead canoe shot from your drone at about 20 minutes is unforgettable. Well done!
I wrote almost the same comment….then deleted it since you nailed it. Love that sequence
Some colin stetson (canadian saxophonist) for the music on the white waters would be amazing
My favorite Canadian Action Heroes - Noah, Alex, Matt, Bill and, Tauser.
Noah, you seem so much more energetic on these trips than you did back in your Grade 11 Travel and Tourism class!! Northern Scavengers Assemble! Love it, we'll done so far fellas! Can't even wait for the next part!
That drone shot on the portage was art
Beautiful healthy environment. Mostly healthy trees.
anyone else love the Crocs game by the boys? I get so happy when they build camp and do it with Crocs on!!
Dang, seeing that plane coming in gave me goosebumps, can't wait for episode 6 and seeing the crew battle the land together, let the EPICNESS continue!!!

I was thinking during an earlier video how good the series was but how it would kick it to the next level to have the other guys with them.
Matt is such a great Scavenger addition to the team )))
We think so too 😀
You buggers leaving us hanging like that. Is it Alex? Another great section. I agree with the others, the drone shot, a red canoe meandering through the woods is so cool! I'm surprised no fish?
The reward of a lovely beach and camping spot after a day like that makes it all worthwhile.
3:43 Looks like a traditional rock fish weir
Not much to say that has not already been said.......You guys are the BEST!!!!!!
So excellent. Getting the band back together.
31:04 I give that cornbread flip a perfect 10! Matty B. is the Nadia Comaneci of bushcraft cuisine! Put lots of jam on that...blackflies love a bit of sugar in their wine.
Yeah! Glad to see someone sticking up for ol Matty B!
Great job and hilarious ending. Can’t wait for next week.
Geologist here!! Loved the little bit on geology, great job on your terms! For future reference, fluvial deposition is reserved for rivers as lacustrine deposition is for lakes. Cant wait for the next one, I watch these while working and it makes me feel like I'm adventuring instead.
The rhythm of the camp, very rarely properly captured on film, but you cracked it here. Great series!
I was dying when you ate that nasty wrap and said there's sand in it too. Kudos to you both for not going insane with the bugs in your ears at night. I couldn't do it.
VERY impressive story-telling gentlemen. Your low-key, positive outlook is so cool, drone shots and music at minute 21 and on just EPIC.
Dudes…that. Was. Awesome. Northern Scavengers ASSEMBLE!!! Made me smile.
Been going through a few rough weeks lately, feeling hella depressed…etc. I look forward to every Thursday tho for these videos. Nathaniel, thanks so much for your note. I'm glad that we can help out in any way that we can...we're only half way through 🤙
Now this is what we call a cliffhanger. LOL can’t wait for next week’s episode.
You guys gotta get some Sealline Pro dry packs for your next trip. They are a bit more pricy but the straps and waist belt in particular are way better.
"Dont tempt me" he says. 😂 Loving the series.
Loved it! Can't wait for the next episode. Support these guys with buying some merchandise! My son is jealous of the hat I just received.😊
That corn bread looks great! Nice work Matt.
WOW at the drone footage of the canoe going through the woods. Very nice.
Guys....A surprise from the sky! How COOL is that??? Left us hanging again! Looking forward to next week's adventure! Cheers!
So so wonderful that you both share this adventure with us.. so well done boys
NORTHERN SCAVEVENGERRRRRRR, ASSEMBLEEEEEE
What a ending. Cant wait for next week.
Not sure why your subscriber count is not higher then this. Love the floatplane entry! love the content! keep it coming guys. (my opinion only) add more fishing to your trips and i believe you will access a larger range of viewers. cheers guys.
Eh there’s Alex and Elk! Great epi guys, stoked for the rest !
I knew something was up when you guys sat longer than normal :) Would be nice to see how your canoe patch is surviving.. I still say you should be given a nice new red canoe...looking forward to the next one.
OH you got to be kidding me. That has to be awesome seeing your buds come flying in half way thru a grand canoe trip.
Just awesome, guys! 👍😎🇨🇦🌲🥇🥇🛶🔥
The idea of cornbread, peanut butter and jam, sounds amazing! You earned that bonus coffee too! Love this series!
Cliffhanger on a Northern Scavengers episode? More please!
At the hardest moments the comment is always, "We're doing it!" Great attitude!!
Love your videos. Narration is interesting, fun, and informative. The bugs look intense, but that is the north.
What an ending! Did not see that coming!
For your Dry-pack discussion in this vid, my vote goes to the Eureka Stormshield bags. Durable, really strong straps, well padded waist belts, handles where you need them etc.
Matt didn't have to twist that arm too hard Noah when it came to having whiskey and a cigar that night! Lol
Can’t really blame him!
Best channel on RUclips
great video coverage. I'm watching Jim and Ted make somewhat the same trip, the scenery is much different than their trip, super high water fast currents for them, limited campgrounds, eskers were the best.

Whaaaaaaat? Oh, this is so good! What an adventure and what an ending to the episode. Thanks for taking us along.
26:33 if you ate that many special gummies you could teleport through the portages. 😂
That was awesome guys!!! Loved the ending - can't wait for next week!
Love the drone shot of the canoe portage
Just amazing the beautiful land yous are travelling thru. Just lovin the great sense of humour between you’s and all the great cooing ideas. Next vid will be awesome when You’s are all together. Thanks for all the hard work 😘
Another beauty episode! Sounds like AT and ET coming in hot!

Great video and quite the accomplishment...looking forward to the next video..stay safe guys.
Another brilliant episode with a surprise fun ending, thank you guys 👍😊
The way I understand it is fluvial - sediment deposited by a river/flowing water, lacustrine - deposited by a lake/still water. Great videos, guys!
At 23:07, all I can say is that you guys are way tougher than I am. No way I could handle all those flying demons. The portaging, paddling, and roping, OK. Swarms of biting thingies? Nope.

Holy Smokers! What a fantastic adventure!
Jane and are definitely going to enjoy a Whiskey Brule this afternoon! Can't wait for Wednesday's release.
Beautiful trip. By buddies and I did many 5 days on a river. Pretty easy no portages. I’m to old and fat for 30 days anymore. Love your channel. Take care.
Making every Wednesday better and better and better. Many thanks.

I loved the surprise arrival of your friends at the end. Am excited about the next episode!
Oh snap! Big ending. Can’t wait till next week
Hard core boys! You sure picked the right day for a break. Love the drone footage. I didn't know Matt had his own channel . I'm heading there after this video!
i flippin died at the "Assemble"!!!!

So far you guys have had serious joss with the weather gods. Hope it continued.
Awesome stuff! Greetins from germany ✌️
Love the beach criteria list development and everything else!
I always get a hint of artificial blueberry from Lab tea. Also, how awesome Alex made it out to you guys!!
Way to leave us on a cliffhanger! Put the next episode out a little early, will ya? Very much enjoyed this episode. Thank you for the info about the first aid kit and food prep!
The "Northern Scavenger" assemble bit was pretty clever!
Great ending :-)
Nice to see you guys getting sponsorship for these expeditions.
Talk about a completely unexpected and deadly surprise. This series has already been awesome, I can only imagine it gets even better from here.
So pumped about the ending! Great series boys
What an episode. Well deserved couple of down days. It was a super hard push to get that down time. Good thing that battery pack is good with Alex showing up. I may have known he was coming in, I was talking to Andrew A the day he left. Keep the wonderful videos coming.
Omg excellent video! Can’t wait for the next episode!
Outstanding adventure and video series!! Thank you!!
Fantastic surprise at the end! Can’t wait for the next episode!
Another awesome video, and a well deserved rest at the height of land. That ending was great haha
So good👍👍
Awesome video! Really pulls back the curtain on the day to day lifestyle out there!
What a surprise at the end. What an adventure! Thanks for making me feel like I was out there. The footage is unreal.
Oh so cool 👍
Wow another amazing trek with a well liked geology lesson and the Aguanish!
Those bugs🙀
