spkymky I live in Australia and Optus is kind of like the Comcast of Australia their Internet sucks my download drops from 100 down to 20 and then sometimes will slowly call up to 100
Telstra is pretty fucked as well

Got Comcast 7 years ago. I contemplated renting their modem, which was $5 per month at the time, decided to buy my own Motorola Docsys 3 whatchamacallit. The monthly rental apparently is now approaching $10. That modem cost me about $80, so it's paid for itself multiple times already. And still going strong.
And that's why you always buy the modem. I'd rather pay more upfront than have to deal with idiots afterwards.
Got sent to collections another time for a modem that they never gave me, because I bought my own.
