An amount of the levels you said were impossible can be done using map exploits and glitches without breaking the rules you set. Please review speedruns for guidance on how this is done. The Jedi Temple door can be bypassed if you get up on top of it for example. No force user needed.
Was just about to comment this! Darth Maul is another example of one easily possible with speedrun tech (jump on the right side light to jump over the bridge).
I was really hoping that speed run skips would be incorporated in the video tbh. Like Invasion of Naboo or especially Darth Maul are likely very doable using Magnaguard’s jump and whatnot
Pretty sure you can get a lot further in Darth Maul, using the Magna Guard you should be able to jump onto the floating bridge and cross it to the other side, instantly skipping the "boss fight". But not like it matters in the long run since you do need to use the force to get the forcefields down in the corridor before the final room
A few of the impossible ones are only impossible in the complete saga. There's no building in lego star wars the video game, and I forget if you needed to use the force, or if that droid panel just existed in retake theed palace, so that one might be doable. Also in lego star wars the video game, if you make it to one of grievous' platforms, he returns jumps back to the central platfrom and the fight continues normally but he has an extra heart.
@nvna1111 nope. That was a mechanic added in lego star wars 2 the original trilogy. There were also no red bricks, so there were a lot of new puzzles added when they remade the levels for complete saga. They also didn't have silver lego objects, as well as bounty hunter bombs. They didn't have pushable objects. Pretty sure blaster characters didn't slap when up close. Yoda had a hover chair. It was extremely different from the games that would come after it.
@@blakdeth omggg. I remember yoda had the chair in the original and a few other things but I had nO idea there was no building I’m having to do a double take that’s crazy
I noticed you didn’t use any speedrunning skips. I think a couple more levels could be completed if you did, largely many of the boss fights. I believe there’s a quick kill on Grievous and Palapatine. There’s also ways to get to Maul without using the force. Think people have pointed that out already though. Do really like the fact you didn’t use any speedrunning skips though. I thought it was pretty cool.
To be fair I’m not a speedrunner (well except for the joke speedrun I did for the Log in King Kong) so I really don’t know, probably could do a follow up someday to see how far we can go with some strats
@@themagnificentmrmcgee It'd be really cool to see how far you get if you use some strats. This was a really good video and I think a follow up would be really good too.
@subtoadp2 Eh, there's probably some clip or something to get through the wall. Lego games' code tends to be held together by hopes, dreams, and chewing gum.
With some jumps that are JUST out of reach you can switch to Droideka as that gives a tiny upwards boost and also to roll up them. For example, the jump at 5:03 works (I just tested it).
I had two Ideas I wanted to try out. First is outrunning the falling tree in Level 2 as Super Gonk, which didn't work. Second was jumping onto the levitating bridge as Magnaguard, which you can actually do.
I think Jedi Destiny is possible with the Palpatine ledge exploit. I’d explain it but I don’t fully understand the process myself so I’d recommend checking out BD1Ps complete saga videos (I think it’s a no jump run), but I believe it’s completely doable with 2 players. Basically you lure him to the ledge after switching players and push him off manually which should be possible with 2 magnaguards blocking his attacks. Otherwise solid video!
4:05 in the original Lego Star Wars I used Jar Jar to jump onto the platforms while they were still in the air, so it may be possible with the Magnaguard. Also triple jumping with the Magnaguard might let you beat 2-3.
1-1 is possible with 2 out of bounds clips with body guard and droideka running into barrel, 1-2 possible with the use of triple jumps with the magna guard, 1-5 is possible with two out of bounds clips behind the statue and slightly before the room triple jumping up to the to a clipping out of bounds,1-6 is possible with jumping on the bridge and triple jumping out of bounds in the last room before boss fight, making the entire episode 1 possible, Discovery on kamino is possible with MANY different strategies, most were triple jump clips, drone ship cavalry is possible with exploding blaster bolts, in general grievous you can you grieve cheese, 4-1 is possible because of an out of bounds glitch at the start with a triple jump, 4-2 is also possible by triple jumping into sand thing and then triple jumping twice a few more times to clip through doors and clear gaps, 5-1 is possible with exploding blaster bolts, and in 6-5 use the ultra kill. this is all of the ones I noticed, but if you know any others tell me. plus there are so many out of bound triple jumps, so I think I missed a lot. plus it really took a long time to make this (like hours or more)
Wow. The Mandalorian and Wuher (the Mos Eisley Cantina bartender) must've designed this game, because of their distaste for droids. I think the actual developers must've programmed the pit at the beginning of the Darth Maul level so Astromechs and bounty hunters (Boba Fett and Jango Fett) cannot fly over it, simply because they didn't want players to skip the first phase of the boss fight. Also, the Magna Guards (as well as Jar Jar and General Grievous) of course have their "high jumping" ability, which allows them to jump higher than Jedi or Sith. While this ability comes in handy to complete levels in the Prequel Trilogy, for whatever reason, this ability is simply non existent in the Original Trilogy levels.
Actually, on the ps2, you can slide up and over the hill in the junglund waste. I did it with a jedi, a custom character, and a Boba Fett. But this was specifically Lego Star Wars 2, the original trilogy on a North America ps2 if that helps or matters. It's like a glitch, it slides you up the hill and into the trigger. I found it as a kid and would do that instead of the intended way for a little speed boost and to show off a neat trick to my cousins lol.
I’m a little disappointed to see how many levels are glossed over as impossible when several exploited, glitches and skips can enable much further progress in MANY of the levels. Even if stuff like free play jumping with Magnaguard wouldn’t be permitted, there’s still plenty of map exploits, out of bounds glitches, Magnaguard shenanigans and so much more. I think it would be cool to attempt this challenge again, but with any speedrunning strat on the table.
Obviously, I have it linked a few times but if you wanted to see the "raw" clips, see here on the Gremlin Co channel which I where I dumped them months ago: ruclips.net/p/PLTW0AE4EvMP-JOtOhWSGyL98ccjVX_Rtb
Also, isn't 4-Lom a Droid? Can't he build? I know you said at the beginning who's allowed and not, but I think I'm not alone in the fact of forgetting things about characters and characters sometimes, lol.

Interesting…well if I ever do this again I shall have to try it out

@Phasma theres a force room before the final room u cant do it anyway
I was really hoping that speed run skips would be incorporated in the video tbh. Like Invasion of Naboo or especially Darth Maul are likely very doable using Magnaguard’s jump and whatnot
except like many level requires force user to end level

But you wouldn't get there in the first place, since no droids in the original Lego Star Wars can use grappling hooks.
No building in the original game ??

@nvna1111 I agree, imagining a LEGO game without building feels so cursed.

This is a really high quality video with a great topic and hardly any views. Please keep doing this!
The Darth Maul area can be bypassed using Magna Guard and jumping on to the lamp, then jumping to the other side. It's tight, but is possible.
I was thinking that but after you need a jedi to do the boss fight.

I’m suprised he didn’t do Yodaka jumps with the Magna Guards
4:50 even if u reach the door won't open

Take a shot every time he says manga-guard instead of magnaguard
For high jumps, you need to roll as a Droideika and swap to a Magna Guard mid air
Great idea hopefully the algorithm sends this to everyone

you can cheese the grevious fight woth a blaster character (IG-88 or 4-LOM in this case) if you stand in a particular spot

It would be nice if instead of giving up on a level once it's impossible you count how many times you have to switch from a droid instead
9:17 valley of the shadows????
u can triple jump with magnaguard to get past alot of those obstacles
Did you try , on dagobah level, jump using griviuos`s bodyguard(magnaguard) and in air swap to ig88 and throw bomb in Vader?
in order to beat the level you need to raise the x-wing with yoda
Also, isn't 4-Lom a Droid? Can't he build? I know you said at the beginning who's allowed and not, but I think I'm not alone in the fact of forgetting things about characters and characters sometimes, lol.
if i do this challenge could i use the pk droid?
What benefit does that give you?
@ cool points
