    the real reason Air Force basic training is so easy is because it’s a branch full of specialized jobs so they give everyone the same training they need but unlike marine Corp not every airman is a rifleman so why waste the time and resources teaching something they don’t need, they teach you the basic principles you need and then when you go to your tech school that’s where you train individually and based on your job, if your job is a combat oriented job then that’s what you train for if you are a personnelist you train for that job.. don’t get me wrong Air Force basic was easy but it makes sense why it was

      That’s true AF basic is less about physical aptitude but is excruciating attention to detail. Its about maintaining multiple things at once remembering heaps of information that is given to you very fast and once. Marching is horrible though we did that day in and day out that was the real killer. Drill, Drill, and more Drill. It’s about precision. A bunch of my generation, I graduated in 2004, had trouble even getting community college paid for after they had served in Iraq and Afghanistan. I think they just say that kind of stuff to get you to sign up. Like the Loss Prevention at Ross, he served in the Navy for 10 years. He works beside me in retail for $11/hr. Real life is different. They're just desperate for people to sign up.

Stayed in trouble but a physical specimen just leaving high school wrestling. Went thru the "confidence course" like it was daycare finishing 1st every time. They didn't let on but they were impressed. That insignificance got me thru BMTS. Retired 21 yrs later. So did my former yelling spouse.

    This actually looks so fun. I feel bad joining the USAF, and I know I shouldn’t an that it is still honorable. Even if I am not flexing my muscles as much as I would in the marines I’ll do my best to flex my leadership.
    Every branch has a different mission and just like how infantry going to fort Benning will have a much harder time than other recruits, I know that it will be a much different and less physically taxing experience in the USAF, but I do think the PT standards should be higher. But everyone should remember that the Airforce has a different mission than the marines or army.
    It is still honorable to join and you shouldn’t let anyone convince you not to join because it isn’t the hardest force, because one way to another you can serve your country and you can choose when to stop and how far you want to go.

    • @rogersg1252
      @rogersg1252 5 лет назад +1

      IKG Trinity I feel bad as well, I thought maybe I’d get better and be able to get through the marines and so one day an army recruiter (in junior class) asked what we were planning on doing and I said marines, everyone laughed and talked behind my back and sadly now I’m graduated and joining the so called weak stuff.

    • @ikgtrinity6984
      @ikgtrinity6984 5 лет назад +2

      But you shouldn’t feel bad. You are still serving your country and doing far more than most do. It’s mostly jokes or at most the equivalent of sibling rivalry that makes every branch hate on the others. It is funny when they try saying that cadets come out as physically fit as those badass marines.
      That’s awesome that you’ve joined. I hope you joined as an officer and if you didn’t that you plan to, because the Airforce is really about being an officer of you don’t have a really technical MOS. I don’t mention pilots because you have to be an officer.
      Honestly the only reason I am joining enlisted is so I can serve in the USAFHG. The true difference is the mental disciple that marines and army guys have. I’d serve in every branch if I could still achieve my dreams through them.
