When i first read the comments i wasnt sure if i would watch this film again. It was many cf earlier that i had watched this so i couldnt remember how severe the abuse got. If this is your concern, dont worry, on a scale of 1-10, the abuse is 6. And its mostly from outsiders not the CEO. His main fault being a dumb Donkey. Why is it in these cf, the CEO who is great at business is so clueless. They never suspect and investigate. He's rich. Install a survelance camera where ever Mia is. 😮 ??????

She showed some signs of having a strong character, but then she ALLOWED people to abuse her.
People can only abuse you verbally, mentally and in many cases physically when you allow them to. I know the $$ for the orphanage is a good cause to fight for, but to have that as a reason to have someone continuously beat you. Oh, hell no. So, Mia in many ways isnt a true victim. She could have fought but she chose every time to bow.
Finally, the leads lacked one of the key things in a relationship. Open & honest communication. I would have opened my mouth and starting spilling the beans at the 1st slap. Most definitely the hot water in the face that left welt marks. OH HELL NO, x 2.
If she had stood up for herself, for her profession, movie would have ended. I suppose this is why we viewers get dragged through the mud.
