So just for a little context. I ordered these in chronological order from who played it first to last. Southern is the only band where the mic wasnt on the field, but was in the end zone so there's some reverb because of the sound bouncing off the wall directly behind it. Thank yall for watching! Like, subscribe, share and enjoy!
MoBamba is all about the release of that aggression and anger. For that I easily give it to SU for capturing the spirit of the song. JSU second for musicianship and arrangement. But that SU had me kick a hole in my floorboard while driving
I know people are gonna talk shit about Southern mo Bama just cause they don’t like SU but that shit sounded powerful as fuck in person! Probably the most powerful out of all of em! But JSU was good too.
SU starts at 8:38. Too bad you didn't have a mic on them. Your endzone mic captured interesting echoes & sounds. Dam, at 9:49 you got SU's Band Directors looking mafioso...the way they're standing & sitting. Observing the peons and mere mortals grooving to the Human Jukebox. Deep.
Is there a Closer Clearer Version of PV's , I mean THat MoBamba needs to be in THEY BANDROOM. . .**Wait there's really nothing in they Bandroom(( videocrew get on that lol.
It honestly doesn't matter who yall think "WON" just know if it wasn't for PVAMU Marching Storm nobody would have thought about Doing the arrangement 💛💜💛💜💛 PERIOD. 😂😂💁
I will say only thing JSU version is that lower brass preferably the Tubas because listening to the song it’s most similar but SU version is catered to the upper brass and the Tubas take it up...
Southerns hornline has ridiculously tight articulation for college level. Not normally a fan of this style but gotta give credit to a hornline where it’s due
Carl Cunningham yeah JSU was the best i thought. Arrangement was dope and those Tuba's are the real deal. I would say they have the best tuba's in the swac. Love that rich full sound.
I like PV.... not from a musical/analytical perspective, but just generally keeping the hype of the original song. Drums, chants, etc. With this song in particular, you can keep all the extra embellished countermelodies, staggered breaks, and moving parts, lol. A lot like with SU and IDGAF... nothing fancy, just raw hype.
I've been a proud band head since I picked up a horn in the early 90s. I love where technology has taken us to where we can witness and enjoy this type of stuff even if we're not able to physically be there. I appreciate it all. I was at the swac championship game and saw kellakev on the field. I started to dap ya up brother to let you know you're truly appreciated. U put HBCU bands in a positive light consistently and that's awesome.
SU-Trumpets!! Over all PV, JSU, &SU it’s a tie!! If I had to pick one I would say: SU WON by a hair cause JSU & PV came with it!! It’s not all about Baritones and Mellos! JSU got to keep that in mind!
Jordan Course So you telling me they “just loud.” on Yosemite, God is A Woman, Liberation, All Night Long, and several other songs? Jsu bones are better, but don’t act like su’s bones ain’t nice either.
Jukegang su has the best jsu with head phones was not knocking like su from the beginning and arrangement is nut listen them golden horeses with. The mic in the end zone smh
1st off thanks Kev for making this video....Each arrangement was different but they brought that 🔥🔥 well....idk to much about the Ocean on this one, but if I had to make a decision 1. Jsu - that arrangement was out of this world 🔥🔥🔥🔥 2. PV - they stuck to the original version of the song and brought that smokey smoke, smoke. 3. SU - that in your face aggressiveness is what made me say "SHAT" that's the SU I remember, but I feel the arrangement could've been way better. 4. TxSu - left me scratching my head a little, that could've been way better also

Fight for Justice. No racism. Creat Peaceful world.

I’m sorry but SU has this; there arrangement has so much power! It’s them damn drums for me! Next PV & the JSU.
I know people are gonna talk shit about Southern mo Bama just cause they don’t like SU but that shit sounded powerful as fuck in person! Probably the most powerful out of all of em! But JSU was good too.
JSU hands down.

Charles Jackson BIAS

The Boom won #handsdown! S.O.P & THE DAWG TEAM killing.
I listened on a stereo and man.
JSU for it's hypeness and arrangement
SU for straight power and musicianship.
💙💛💙💛💙💛
Yesssssssssssssssssss 💯
Southerns hornline has ridiculously tight articulation for college level. Not normally a fan of this style but gotta give credit to a hornline where it’s due
Anybody else peep Plank?
SU got that pressure 🔥
All of em riding!! JSU’s put me in that zone!! Least favorite was Txsu, didn’t sound to sure of themselves
CeddieCed EXPLAIN 🤨🤨
PLZZ EXPLAIN?
Nvm don't explain😥😓
non-juicy Cucci more so the arrangement, just seem off
The band executed just the arrangement is shitty
Jackson State - 1) Powerful, 2) Clean sound, 3) Chords are strong, 4) Trombone are on it, 5) Tubas are giving major bottom
Carl Cunningham yeah JSU was the best i thought. Arrangement was dope and those Tuba's are the real deal. I would say they have the best tuba's in the swac. Love that rich full sound.
The BOOM💣💙💙💙
The more I listen to Southern arrangement I like it more. So I guess Southern then Jsu then PVam
I love SU’s arrangement because it does the song’s justice, adds their own flair and there isn’t too much going on at the same time.
First one was nasty- seemed like they was on point
JSU! Most definitely!
The BOOMBOX Got This💙💛🐯
those sousaphones sound like nice kazoos, but i come from a school that uses contras and i know it's the hbcu tradition so i won't complain anymore
🔥
PV got it

WE GOT ALOT OF HATERS I SEE WELL ITS ONLY ONE SONG WE HAVE A HUGE BOOK THAT CAN PREVAIL OVER ALL THAT HATERSHIP
Im not finna skip ova the fact that tsu did some wtf shit
It's obviously a lot of JSU fans here but their not 1st
Slight edge to PVU, then SU, JSU, TXSU

Adrian Veal all su got is trumpets n euphos. 🤷🏿♂️ damn sure don’t have bones, mellos, and tubas.
Jordan Course Su definitely had bones this year.
Flava Flav them niggas somewhat loud and that’s it. No style, no finesse, no nothin.
Jordan Course So you telling me they “just loud.” on Yosemite, God is A Woman, Liberation, All Night Long, and several other songs? Jsu bones are better, but don’t act like su’s bones ain’t nice either.
Flava Flav nah they not sorry.
SU & JSU
Thanks KK for this! Great job!
JSU have you hype as fuck
The boom, pee vee, sudderin. TSU, no ma'am pam
JSU hands down !
Pv, Su, Jsu, Txsu
I like this series Kev!!
Everyone is talking about JSUs lowbrass but the mellos are goin off 😳😳😳
There can be only one.... JSU. The other arrangements seem to overdo it for such a simple song.
Thomaticus jsu added a whole part that’s not even in the song lol
Pv literally plays the song at it's most basic and is the closest to the song
Between the Boom an the jukebox! Only because of camera angle, JSU sonic boom of the South for the W!
SU lower brass sounds like a train 🙅🏾♂️🔥🔥
Of Course! 🙌🏾💙 #LuvDaBoom
Jukegang su has the best jsu with head phones was not knocking like su from the beginning and arrangement is nut listen them golden horeses with. The mic in the end zone smh

@@TMiles84 I feel dat
Great assessment!! My sentiments exactly on the arrangement and sound. I'm from Houston. TSU needed a nap..
Timothy Miles u said exactly what i was thinking.
Did u see the Cheerleaders outfits
PV is the best simply because they kept the integrity of the song...rocked it raw and hard...no additives 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
SU BOOM!! then JSU
