WE have Trimble earthworks and new 2024 cat 3D dozer. My operator claims he cant get it to work and its an additional license through CAT. But your saying that its a Trimble license for autosteer that I could buy through Sitech?
Is there soe hardware or software needed for horizontal steering
Yes. If it’s a newer dozer it may already have the hardware portion of it available but will need a license on the Trimble side to use it. If it’s an older machine it will need the module added in the joysticks to make it possible and then a license.
Is the module in the machine an option
As far as I know the machine has to have the ability to auto steer from the factory, then it is just unlocking the option like turning on the cat grade option. @@antoniovangenechten8188
