Before everyone starts jumping in the comments saying, "a crow is too hard" or "skin the cat will dislocate your shoulders," hold on a second and let me say this very clearly: every movement CAN be dangerous if executed poorly, and "easy" or "hard" are totally subjective terms. Please prioritize safety before attempting ANY of the movements listed here or ANY movement for that matter. Even though these are some of the easiest skills you can do with your bodyweight, they still require a significant degree of body awareness and basic strength. Let's go through each of them to discuss the risks and how to approach them safely. 1. Crow Pose / Frog Stand: This is arguably the easiest hand-balance and a perfect entry point for anyone who wants to learn handstands later on. Putting the knees to the outside of the arms will make it easier. When starting out, alternate the feet to gradually build strength and capacity. While it's not a requirement, I recommend that you have done some exercises where your hands are flat on the ground, like push-ups, before attempting this move. This will help ensure safety, especially when it comes to the wrists. 2. Elbow Lever: Similar to the crow pose, my primary concern here is wrist conditioning. I recommend having done some basic floor work before attempting this skill. Experiment with the position of your wrists: you can try having your fingers fully backward or pointing slightly to the outside to find the most comfortable position for you. Using an elevated surface, such as a block or step, can make it easier for your feet to lift, but it also poses a higher risk, so please be safe. 3. Skin The Cat: it’s a complex movement and can be intimidating if attempted without prior experience. Before trying this, I recommend being familiar with hanging from a bar. Using a low bar where you can rest your feet on the floor at the start and end of the movement can help overcome the fear of dropping back and ensure safety. It's best to try it ideally with a spotter or by carefully following the instructions in the video. Once again, despite these being beginner skills, THEY ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE -at least not without proper preparation and guidance. Please prioritize safety and have a spotter or a safe environment (such as a mat for the skin the cat, a pillow for balancing skills, etc.) when attempting these movements. Friendly calisthenics tips to newbies: buy a cheap dog bed from Costco. They make great soft crash pads for small falls. They have saved my ass on multiple occasions

I can’t do crow but I can do a forearm & handstand (cannot handstand for very long yet), crow is way harder for me, my arms hurt, my legs don’t stay, I am soo shaky and I feel even heavier and more off balance than normal 😩

Haha some Gita Humour 😂
I could do the last one on my first try. But i can't remotely do the others😢
I can’t do crow but I can do a forearm & handstand (cannot handstand for very long yet), crow is way harder for me, my arms hurt, my legs don’t stay, I am soo shaky and I feel even heavier and more off balance than normal 😩
What's the use of the skin the cat? Strength, mobility?
I started calisthenics 6 months ago and now i can only do 20 push ups in a row. It tastes me years to do these moves
