    I was very supportive during the first demonstration, I thought the people behaved very well. Destroying property and burning down your own city is not too smart when you’re protesting against economic hardship. This will make things harder for the people.

  • @Dqtube
    @Dqtube Месяц назад +6

    I can understand the main motivation of the protesters, but damaging private property and looting is unacceptable. What is their point? They are dissatisfied with their economic situation, so they make things worse for others ?

  • @blessingblessings8123

    that's good 👍,now they can use our taxes properly to prepare the damage rather than them stealing our taxes to go and buy luxurious houses in Dubai and Europe,infact they should do all this repairs nicely not cheap like they always do,Kenyans pay alot of taxes,if they say that our yearly finace bill is bigger than Tanzania,Uganda and Rwand combined,so the question is,where do they take our taxes? Nairobi streets should be looking way better than Kigali streets according to the amount of taxes Kenyans collect yearly. It's such a shame that we have a corrupt government that can't deliver,they are only best at talking and not walking the talk.😢

    I think it's disgusting and shameful that the government used excessive force and had people killed for defending their rights. If it's a democratic country, people should be free to stand up for their rights and not made to suffer from tear gas, rubber bullets, water cannons and worst live bullets. Lots of people who were involved in hurting the people will eventually suffer. I'm sorry the shop owners places got robbed but with so many people suffering and in need of basic essentials, anger and pressure got to them and they acted unwisely. I sincerely hope the government would scrap those Bill's, have serious dialogs with the people and do better. I'm watching from the Caribbean, I know how they feel. It's the same situation where i am, except the majority of the people are very complacent and allow every to just go as it is.

    Kenya is same with South africa. Am not Kenyan but watching the scene of yesterday on TV and RUclips reminds of 2007/2008 violence there. Peaceful protest and violence are too different things. Criminality is something beyond peaceful protest.

    No matter what Ruto does these youth will not stop no matter how many military he will send. No matter how many killings, arrests, abductions there are not enough bullets for millions of people. The more intrasigent Ruto gets the more emboldened these youth get. They will overwhelm the military with their numbers. The military can not be everywhere. Ruto is playing a very dangerous Game. All the ingredients of a revolution are there and Ruto is going to give birth to a revolution if he does not withdraw the bill which is so little to ask compared to what can happen?
    All he needs to do is just drop the finance bill its just a paper. His pride would rather see the country sink and he too will not be spared. he is endangering the future of Kenya and his family too. I dont know who is advising him. he needs to learn from other revolutions. Even the egyptian army Known to be the most powerful in Africa could not contain the revolution and look how Mubarak the President at the time ended up. Is this what Ruto wants for himself and family over a piece of paper?

    MARTIN LUTHER KING JR said "A RIOT IS THE LANGUAGE OF THE UNHEARD." SO WHAT IS IT THAT RUTO DIDN'T HEAR! As a Black American Pan-Africanist I stand with the Kenyan youths 100%! Once upon time when I was a youth just like the Kenyan youths my generation was forced to rise up justice and equality in America! And the aftermath was the same as the aftermath in Kenya! And today in the 21st century Black Americans are still fighting for justice and equality and a piece of the so called American dream!
