I said it many times, but the atmosphere at Children's Mercy Park was incredible that game! Solid 50/50 split, and the Sporting fans that invited me and my friend over for their tailgate were extremely cool as well as every other Sporting fan I interacted with. We need to keep this kind of rivalry going and growing because this is one the MLS needs

Is it too much to ask for the next game between SKC and SLC to have a ref that actually calls fouls and a VAR that isn’t pulling decisions out of a hat? Both games have been horrendously and inconsistently officiated.
A big thank you to the ref for allowing some good strong physical challenges, so refreshing after watching the EPL earlier in the day which has basically become non cantact 😢
@@PolarbearKA it was offsides. It was hard to tell from the angle that viewers had. The VAR room has different angles than we do. They spotted something. That’s all. And also Pulido’s first goal, Salloi wasn’t offsides. People are saying he was off, but he clearly wasn’t. His body was level with the last STL defender. Goal.
@@ChiefsProdz_ Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding for Pulido's goal is that there was player who WAS in an offside *position* -- #13, Gutierrez -- when the ball was delivered to Salloi who then made the cross to Pulido, but offsides is only called if the player who actually receives the ball is offside. I'm betting the people who think Pulido's goal saw Gutierrez being offside but aren't fully up on how the rule works. (I could be wrong about this).
We might. We definitely have deficiencies, but barring a regular season collapse down the stretch, we'll be there. Not too bad for our inaugural season.
If we can keep home field advantage somehow, I like our odds of getting a win or two in the playoffs. But if our road form continues to struggle as it has, we will lose the conference lead to LA. The Sept 20th game against LAFC in STL will be a big game.

"The book" (Law 12) says: "It is an offence if a player: deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm (or) touches the ball with their hand/arm when it has made their body unnaturally bigger. A player is considered to have made their body unnaturally bigger when the position of their hand/arm is not a consequence of, or justifiable by, the player’s body movement for that specific situation." Tucking in certainly makes sure that the player isn't making his body bigger, but it's not a mandatory criterion.
They paid the refs,I bet around 500 bucks. 90’6 min an elbow on Klauss not a free kick (which could have been a game winner) was a goal kick like what the? Also not the Kansas players wasting 3 mins for a small fall.
female announcer was TERRIBLE. Just awful and clueless as to what is going on. Ref started OK by not calling the silly little knock over and fall down calls, and as the game went on decided to absolutely call nothing. The worst officiating I've seen this year.

I could rant forever about this one
