Hey Simone. FFXIV does have a 14.99/month subscription fee for access to the game, even after you own the base game + expansions. If you'd like my take, I believe it is very worth the subscription, because you don't have to deal with any of the usual microtransactions stuffed into free to play games. I believe the game to be worth every penny for a sub
