I am texting to tell you how truly proud and honored I am to see where you guys have come. So incredibly happy for you all and for myself too. I've been watching from the beginning. All Jefanna's, winks and all your blood sweat and tears along the way. Your exquisite taste on everything you've selected from the beautiful beams to the most fantastic pillows. I got to see it all. Thank you so much for letting me in for just a short while every week. Can't wait to see whats coming in the future!!! Lovely home for a lovely family. God takes care of his own!!!! I have always loved your videos. They are fun to watch, very real and honest, and I learn something new each time. This one is one of my favorites, not because of content per se, but now that you are moved in the absolute sense of peace you have now, the stress that has been lifted comes brilliantly through. I know y’all have a lot more to do, but the peace that comes with “we are home” is extraordinary and obvious in this video.

So Well Done guys. A tough road to travel but when you can see the end all the travelling seems to go away. I can only offer one suggestion from experience. Think about taking one specific room at a time to completely (and I mean completely) finish before moving on to the next. Everyone usually uses the shotgun approach and becomes overwhelmed with all the work to be done. Then they kind of give up and get lazy and nothing gets done. Especially when they are moved in. Try it and I know you'll like the process so much better. All The Best. You deserve it... 🙂

Congratulations. We've been here since day one. It's interesting and funny at the same time to see some work being done twice, however it's actually a first hand learning experience. That said, I just wanted to jump thru the screen during the toolbox issue. Next time, try taking the top box off, set it aside, then upend the main tool box on one of its sides onto a moving blanket and drag that bad boy into your closet. Now since it's a small closet you'll have to set it upright while some of it is still in the hallway. But at that point you've made your turn. Mission accomplished.

I feel like you could have got a couple of moving blankets, separated the two pieces of the tool chest, and flipped both sideways and pushed them through. Was this tried at all?
Cabinet is 52 inches long. You probably 30 inches per person to bend over and pick something up. I doubt it would be mechanically feasible from a space perspective. But it also weighs 550 lbs. so even if only 175 of that is the top, I don’t think my wife is going to be able to help me put it back together.

OMG, I'm sssooo happy for you guys. Seems like yesterday when you embarked in this journey. The ups and downs, but together! I remember the bridge built for the water drainage, the drone videos, everything! I'm so proud of both of you and your fam! Enjoy now your new home sincerely from the Robles family!
Thank you Jorge. OMG that bridge nearly killed me, it was so hot. But it is as solid as a rock now. I think back to that and cant believe how long this has gone on.
I also dislike moving so I've been in my current home for 42 years now and yes I'm still organizing my stuff as it's a never ending task. Since living in Florida we don't have basements so everything ends up in the garage or in my two storage sheds.
Your place is looking grand and you should be proud of your accomplishments. My goal was to have a log cabin in about 100 plus acres of wooded land when I retired but as life went on no such luck on this goal. So I guess that means I'm staying on my small lot in Florida with my one tree until my expiration date.
Now that's a job well done! Y'all have out done yourselves, and are most likely worn out. Grab a beverage and a couple of fishing poles and have some fun. I was happy as heck at the picture of you David, carrying your Bride, over the threshold! So happy for y'all. I'm making mushroom & meatball calazones tonight, I'll send one over, right away!!! The one thing I was worried about (provided your reading this) has now been checked off of my list. Yeah, I kinda organize things also. Its not a great plan but no plan is a plan for failure. I AM STILL ALIVE! I had those moments that were not drawn in sand as to making it this far but for all the pain I am in, I just don't want to say some of those things going through my mind and didn't happen ... I honestly believe though it would of crossed the one unforgivable sin. Yes I hurt that bad and know what this young lady has went through a few times herself with issues no one should need to go through. Mental health is probably one thing no one really worries about till its on their plate. I can not emphasize how happy that I am for this move in. We still have time to chat over a glass of sparkling water while you enjoy a blast of rot gut (inside joke) and we could try singing "Kumbaya". Before going completely green someday on lists of need a cheap driving car or truck, think Toyota and their answer to whats been on my mind for a good many years... yes, they made their last EVA. Their plan which has been in motion for a good few years now and they have prototypes of is a Hydrogen power source that is cheaper than any form of driver of any kind of engine. The positive list on it are so long that we could fill pages! I know how well it works first hand by the way.
Glad you are still this side of the lawn. Having walked that final walk with a few loved ones I say hang in there till you decide you cant. Enjoy every little thing that you can.

How cool...been there done that....39 moving in my whole life, 19 moving during marriage life .... not even able to say how challenges and adapting during these processes...and yes when you have to go through those moments there are so adjustments and settings for every one of them moving moments...and yes you get to your final and owning moment there is no words to describe the feeling of joy ... specially when you were able to choose where it was supposed to be at...indescribable😊❤🎉🎉...and you really had to work for a long and detailed process. Haha, you see, it's time to enjoy your efforts of the last years building. Now, take some time to finish and organize, then it's time for the true mancave project, a shed or barn to keep your machinery, tools and for you, to create stuff, tackle other projects and repairs. It would be a nice thing to perhaps join it with a nice underground cellar.. Oh, man, I'm dreaming, but you have a so nice piece of terrain, where the space for building and creating is certainly not scarce.. 😏 I would build myself a so nice shed/workshop/storage... Damn, I don't have much space here and I use what I can for gardening homemade produce... the way to go! Keep on, Mr. David, you just did the most difficult step. Cheers and outstanding job! 😁

Congrats on finishing your home! Regarding your tool chest, was it not possible to remove the top section and put it on it's side (maybe on a dolly) to get it into that space? In any case, thank you for sharing your home build story. I aspire to have a home in a similar rural area and you've given me many ideas!
