Many thanks for this excellent clear, calm video. I fitted my Halo roof system this week and would have struggled without watching this video first (about a dozen times). Its more difficult and time consuming than I expected and finally fitting it into place was quite traumatic. Roof looks ace now its in.
Hi! Any idea where I can get the plastic white grommets from please? Also, you mention at the beginning installing a piece of aluminium heat but I cannot see this bit. Did you not use it? Thanks
I got mine with the kit. Just done a quick search and found them here www.gallantuk.com/50_x_Black_Trim_Panel_Fixing_Clips_for_VW_T4T5T6_Transporter/p2271482_13074635.aspx 👍 The aluminium is on the edge of the middle layer. You can see this as I’m placing the led lights
Hi mate. Planning on doing this roof in my T5. Can you tell me where you got the LEDs from. They seem a better fit than most rather than cutting holes. Thanks
Have a look at plyworxuk.co.uk you won’t be disappointed 👍
Simon at Plyworx is an absolute gentleman, very helpful.
You did a cracking job on your roof, very nice.
He sure is. Very knowledgable and produces great work

Thank you, it’s nice to hear the video has helped. It took me a while to do mine, but definitely worth it
Good job, you've inspired to do a project like this with my T6 Shuttle :)
Well worth it, very satisfying when done. Good luck
Apparently there is more drama with installation on shuttle version due to lights? Is that true?
Good job!😍
Looks great, did you do a video of how to run you wire and fit a switch for the lights by any chance?
Is there any clips in the middle ?
Looks great.. where did you run the cabling for the lights?
Took a feed from the 12v fuse box distribution under the passenger seat, up the pillar and connected where the cab roof meets the halo.
Looks fantastic. Did all the lights get supplied from Plyworx as well?
I got the lights from www.batteriesandsolar.co.uk not expensive and work really well
Thanks!
Looking at installing one of these soon. What size speakers fit in those holes and what length of LED lighting do you need?
They make to your requirements for speaker size and where you want them fitted. I think it’s about 6-7metres of led lighting.

Great thanks for the quick reply.
I still cannot see that trim but never mind😂

I got them from batteries and solar. Had to buy a 5m roll and a 2m.
What led halo lights did you buy and where can I get some please.
Does anyone know the name of the clips used to attach the main headliner to the van? Never seen them anywhere and can't find them!
You screw into grommets. Found some here www.gallantuk.com/50_x_Black_Trim_Panel_Fixing_Clips_for_VW_T4T5T6_Transporter/p2271482_13074635.aspx
