Warm salty water -- if you can't get to a drugstore to buy bottled saline solution, what's the proportion of salt to water to make DIY saline solution at home?

I use Fixodent but it sticks more to my mouth than my teeth and it takes forever to get it off

I had new dentures this year, a full top and a partial bottom. They are comfortable to wear but have to be fixed in. I've tried a few fixatives and the one I prefer is Fixodent Original. However, you have to leave it at least half an hour before eating or drinking to ensure it is set. I'm fine then, and would be all of the day, unless I eat or drink anything warm or hot, which seems to soften the fixative and loosens the teeth. I can't eat much that requires much chewing, meat or any steak is out unfortunately, so at present I'm stuck with relatively soft food or anything that doesn't require much chewing. Also cleaning the fixative out of your mouth is a pain. I couldn't brush it out as one of the videos, that would make me sore. Does anyone know of any other fixative that may be any better?

have them trim off some of the back part of the upper denture, its probably touching your gag nerve
