I live in LA, and while I was watching this tutorial, a police car drove past my house at exact the same moment as on the video (4:58 ), lol. 4D experience.
When you show the setting of all values, show us how they visually differ and what they affect. I understand that based on experience, you know in your mind how the picture will already look with the settings that you set, but those who are not familiar with the tool do not know this. The result is just copying the numbers without understanding what they are responsible for and what the difference between these parameters will look like.
Thanks Friend , but i have a question . about resolution about 8k or more big size render 12000/ 9000 what we schould be do ? because not same result for smaller size render
yup, two things: phoenix is very weird in this matter, also happened to me some times when i follow every step and the results are quite different, and second: some ppl that make these tuts, sometimes they simply change some values offline (maybe for edition purposes) and when you see their results on render they are actually using different values of what they showed first
if you notice at around 27:30 time, you can see his particle numbers in the cache content box if you use the foam and splashes count the used it will not be even close to those numbers, you have to crank those up a lot
bro, I made all the settings the same, I checked the size of my ship, I made all the settings the same and I did it from the beginning 5 times in case there was an error in me, but no matter what I did, the foam does not come out. I would appreciate your help.
are you copying what's in the second monitor? you can just put the link to Chaos group help page and jump to show ppl what you want to do incase you want to show them how to save the simulator preset... this video could have been very short
when i render instead of appearing as white foam, it's light blue like my ocean material's fog colour. Maybe because I assigned the ocean material to the fd simulator its assigning it to the liquid AND foam splash particles ? I'm working on maya if that makes any difference.
Phoenix FD is a torture device developed by sadists to melt the brains of the average CG artist. I've never before used something so appallingly badly designed. A million settings to produce something that really should be achievable using a live preview and some sliders. Great results are clearly achievable but the production pipeline is just too painful! My advice, don't open the box if you value your mental health and wellbeing or actually have to produce a CG video under deadline conditions!

So what do you suggest to use instead?
He is just frustrated because its really hard to use but the results are amazing when it work. WHEN it works.......
