This is why I love your guys break downs. Now I finally get the mv. It doesn't matter if it has eng subs, you still have to get the Korean interpretation to fully understand these mvs, in my opinion. So I'm so grateful to you guys when you drop a new video. I'm thankful for the effort you guys put in, and I thoroughly enjoy all the humorous aspects of every video (Andy) 😁👏. 고맙습니다! ❤
I feel that my initial theory was right. They're in Hallucination Quest like in Savage but now in Real World setting, they fight against the deep fakes pretending to be them that create the drama and causing trust issues and confusing the girls who's who, Winter is the mirror of Karina but an evil version. all like Ning ning is the evil version of Giselle. in the katana fight scene Karina faces Winter and Ningning so it seems that the group is divided into 2 Winter and Ningning vs Karina and Giselle, remember the instructions given at the start of the mv by doing the opposite is the only way to escape, you'll notice that that's what they did to wake up from the hallucination thus, breaking the mirror that they once was trapped in. I also like the symbolism of the vinyl record in the beginning then within the mv where they also mentioned breaking the cycle of trauma plus the fact that it is an analog type of sound storage in contrast to their concept within digital realm. I do believe that every mv, track videos, and short films they all tied together. This is why I love aespa so much coz they tickle my ears and brain just like red velvet although I'd say I understand aespa's lore more than rv. I LOVE. ❤👏👏👏

I think that explanation at the end makes a lot of sense, considering the trailers in which they are all struggling with their identity. That's especially clear in NingNing and Giselle's trailers, in which NingNing escapes her wholesome, but, boring life as a choir girl to be a biker and Giselle ditches her roommate who is constantly spreading rumors about her, while gaslighting Giselle to think she should be insecure and that she's "nothing without her", which is paralleled by a scene in which Giselle is auditioning for an acting role and the recruiter says "This isn't you, can you do more of a passive, insecure role?" And it all ends with her going "This IS who I am". And then Karina is like a double agent, celebrity by day, spy by night. Though, Winter's story is a little different, she kills a guy who'd ran over her brother. But, even there, she's portrayed as a person who's been pushed too far, but, wouldn't otherwise resort to violence as the wife of the guy says "she feels sorry for Winter and her brother", so, it's also kind of like being taken over by a rising anger and darkness. At the beginning with the car crash? I believe it’s symbolic of their good and bad sides wanting to beat the other. I’m pretty sure I read it’s supposed to be Karina trying to save her friends from their dark sides. Although we know that Ningning’s good and bad personalities, let’s call them, get along well she still joins bad Winter and Giselle to take on good Karina.
