I have Crohn’s. I wear protection at night because I have a short bowl from 3 bowl operations. First they are hot 🥵 and I sweat 😓 “down there”. I do not need them every night but put them on just in case. They are no fun so I can see people fighting them. I do not have dementia but have been a caregiver to a person with dementia. Thanks for opening the bathroom door on elimination!!

This was an answered prayer. My husband broke his hip last year and he came home a different person. Rehab (due to Covid-19) didn't tell me he had incontinence issues. I had no idea how to dress the bed or dress him. He has declined and I know he has dementia. I've tried all types of diapers and pads but nothing is as amazing as what you demonstrated. My husband is no longer aware that he is peeing or pooping on himself. I have him on a timer through Alexa to prompt him to go to the bathroom, and he goes through the motions, but will finish up and turn around and pee and poop on himself. We had a couple major messes tonight and I was in earnest prayer for help. Thank you!

This was so interesting, my mum has Alzheimer’s and during a hospital stay she had a catheter fitted. She kept asking to go to the bathroom and was so upset. She cried when I told her to just pee. She was cross with me and “oh I could never do that, how embarrassing “ it was heartbreaking to see her so distressed and desperately trying not to pee in the bed. Your videos help me to understand this terrible illness.

In some inpatient units (peds), staff weigh the diaper for urine (grams). Some do ‘in and outs’, too. (Intake and output of fluids.)

I am 74 years old and a retired nurse. I've taken care of every age group, from preemies to elder adults. Pretty much everything that goes in comes out. So pee and poop will happen. With babies, you feed them and usuall u within one hour, they poop and pee. Elder adults are different. An older person will need to pee first thing in the am and may need to poop before eating breakfast. The urge to use the bathroom are more intense. Incontinence can be a problem. So pee and poop issues are a major problem.
