Adding things like QoL or updating an engine is gonna take a lot of money and a lot of time because on slip up could turn your game into a speghetti code monster.

The games rendered framerate is completely separate from the animations of the characters and what gamers want out of framerate has nothing to do with the characters animation framerate, its usually input delays and such on the framerate the game itself is receiving input detection and so forth. doesnt matter if your rendering an animation at 24 fps or 3000 fps the animation is still 24 fps and only updates the draw position(not 2d draw computer thing) 24 times every second. the computer may give u 200 new frames while the animation is at frame 3 all 200 of those frames will be identical for the characters animation. anyway, long nonsense explanation over, the guy above is wrong cause animation doesn't need to be done at 200 for the animation but the 3D animation is not at a higher framerate just the game is, meaning more intuitive feeling inputs n such.

As an indie dev, I would assume the reason is that Apple only has a small amount of devices to work with to truly optimize their games.

To be honest, zzz looks boring
higher fps isn't always good, eye strain and epileptic seizures are guaranteed with those, motion sickness aswell
lol. It's not. Motion sickness can be caused by blur, low fov, a lot of movements and some other things. But overall, higher fps is always better, except it drains more resources from the videocard.
@@NaoNakashima I don't have blur turned on, and with the amount of movement/animation it causes motion sickness to me
motion sickness happen in lower fps tho because of lagging, higher fps is always better
