This is so crazy! I did this route probably a couple weeks after you (I went at the end of April) and this was so challenging! I was not expecting how technical this was when I plotted it on my watch and somehow that sign right before the hill didnt scare me away.. I was so terrified at those technical parts! I am really impressed that you could film and climb at the same time! Thank you so much for great video and inspiration! Cant wait to see you taking on UTMB
That's so cool what a coincidence! I'm sort of glad I am not the only one to have been caught off guard haha it was indeed a scary climb at some point. I was also afraid of slipping off at some sections. Someone in the gondola actually shouted out that I was crazy so I was wondering if I was even allowed this way but had not seen any sign it was closed. Thanks for following and dropping a few lines!
Again what a great video! Love it to see another inside on your training for the UTMB. It’s sad to hear that you’re suffering from a shin splint and I hope you recover well. You are ones again a big inspiration and I like to stay tuned on Strava on your everyday training. Always nice to see some video footage of your training. I’m sure you will be ready for the UTMB and now the UTMB has to be ready for you. Thanks for following me on Strava! Currently studying for the examens at university but pick up the volume after that, still training for the Matterhorn Ultraks.
@@rafaelhidalgo Not sure if I’ll be back in ‘24 but I’m doing the ultra trail snowdonia 50km next year to get a couple of stones with the aim to be doing either the occ or ccc in 2025 🤞
Great insight into your prep Rafael. As always, fantastic filming and you always seem to know just the right words to go with it. Wishing you all the best for the rest of your prep and a fantastic UTMB race.
Epic. Can't wait to be there in August!! Was the shin issue related to overworked anterior tibialis? I am dealing with something similar, out of the blue.
Hello Rafael. Great video it was nice to see Chamonix in April, I allwayes visit in July/ August huge diffarance. I went down the technical course 2 years ago. I imagine that in the snow it is much more difficult so well done. Be safe and good luck in keeping healthy.
@@rafaelhidalgo so take it easy because you still have enough time for the race. Make sure you overcome the injury and just than start building intensity again.

Awesome! It depends how technical and vertical you want it to be. Also in terms of distance. There are so many different routes around chamonix. I think Strava will be your best source to define your ideal route. Let me know how it goes!

Going to Chamonix for first time in a month. Been running up Swiss Alps over last couple of years. What routes should i take, similar to yours?

I done that route a few times good fun but there is some sketchy sections

By the way, which vest did you use?
