@northernfarmsim ah, driving is overrated lol due to long term Diabetes, now I'm slowly losing my vision so I don't drive anymore I had deleted so many vids. I am envious, I am not worthy to be a gr8 content creator such as yourself. Being limited to console, I enjoy the game, no stress is much needed in life! I am wishful & hopeful FS will make an upgrade to the aspects, the ability to relocate placed items & buildings instead of selling & rebuilding, the change could implement a small in-game cost depending on size. 🍻 👽👍

I always tell Canadians to explore & spend money on their own country. Much beauty is all around! Yes, your area & many lack much for automotive enthusiasts & attractions. I do miss Moparfest. Try to always stay positive & find enjoyment. Once you find someone to expand life with, communication is key route to all things successful. My goal is each day is try to make someone smile or laugh, even if it means stupidity or a simple compliment however this can be awkward when the girl working at Tim's handed us our beverages, I gave her credit having such nice nails. I think at first, she had a dumbfounded look followed with a thanks & smile. Lmao

New subscriber. Great first episode! I’ve restarted five times my own 200 HP challenge Trying to figure out where to start and which direction to go. Looking forward to watching the rest of the series.
What a great start! I love the longer format, too, as I also have videos on while I work at my desk. Store delivery makes perfect sense. If there is a winch you can run at that hp, then that could be the best forestry option for you. That way you could drag the logs away from the hill and work on them on level ground. I prefer jump cuts, time-lapse music doesn't always work with people's musical tastes and it can be a battle for video creators to find something that fits.😊
Thanks! I honestly don’t know how to fit all of the action into a shorter video anyways, lol. Everything I make tends to be about 45 minutes to an hour long. You read my mind on the winch… That’s exactly what I plan on doing.that hill makes me nervous and if I roll the tractor, I’m pretty much screwed. Music for time lapses has always been a funny one… You’re right that it’s difficult to appeal to the masses when picking music. Not to mention if I’m not filming for a Time-lapse, I can just stop recording and put something on RUclips while I’m playing and then come back to recording when I’m done, lol.

Hello I found your channel through Rusty it’s nice to have a fellow Canadian to watch. I just released my first video on this challenge yesterday, there are a lot of folks taking it on. I am going to try and follow them all but I am currently way behind very busy right now IRL. Nice start it turns out we are using the same tractor but that was bound to happen, I had a pretty good chuckle at the field the random number generator came up with, that is the kind of thing that would happen to me 😂. I picked my own starting plot and it was one of the ones you mentioned you would like. Look forward to catching with your content.

Watching... Nice choice of tractor; not done yet but I say 77,000 liters or so of grass from the plot. I'm probably way off, but let's see as I finish watching.
The tractor seems to be drama free for the most part...Nothing worse then buying something and then realizing it doesn't work the way you expected/wanted it to.
Feb. 8, 2024 If I'm not mistaken, you are allowed to use Free Landscaping when playing on PC but you can always ask Mr. @Krustoo to be certain. Great episode. Looking forward to seeing more. Thank you and Take care.
I put that stipulation in there as a way of offsetting the easy economy...I figured that if I was going to be able to get top dollar when selling, I'd pay when landscaping. I've never paid for landscaping in other playthroughs so this makes more interesting for me. You definitely have to think twice before doing something.

I’m a result of cross germination 👋😅. Found Krustoo a short while back and got addicted to the NML series. Enjoyed the first episode, looking forward to more, glad to find some other creators making longer content. Also from one person with way too many mods to another, do you have any idea what mod put the little percentage down in the bottom right corner? Pretty sure it’s the engine load but I have it and don’t have the engine load hud mod installed but don’t have a damn clue what mod I downloaded when it showed up.
Ha ha welcome aboard! It’s funny that you’re asking about what mod puts that percentage in the bottom corner… I have no idea. I tend to stare at it while I play and often wonder why it’s there, but really don’t know, lol. I think you’re right about the engine load, I don’t even know when it started showing up let alone what brought it there.

I discovered your channel because you told me. :) Great start video for the challenge! Even though you are as far as can be from the store, that group of fields at the bottom of the map is some of the flattest areas on the map, assuming that's what you're looking for. Lots of good choices with the equipment, also love seeing that Deutz in white!
I have a hard time buying equipment and leaving it the stock color… Do you know anything about the water plains on this map? It seems like there’s a lot of standing water in those lower fields and possible that maybe the water is right under the surface? Looking forward to your series!
@@northernfarmsim it might be a terrain shader thing, but i’ll look. if you’re on PC, i have a “fixed” version that fixes a few things like the grass and the log sell point.
@@gmngjoy I had heard that the grass maybe didn’t grow back but after mowing in the first month, on the third month it seems like it’s growing back…? What did you have to fix for the grass?

Thanks! I’d never noticed that tractor before and love it now. When the challenge/series started I was doing a good job keeping up with everyone’s posting but now there’s so many people involved plus my work has gotten a bit busier so I sort of had to give up and now just watch a video here and there. It’s hard to keep up 😀😀
@@northernfarmsim that’s the problem, as a late comer to the challenge there are sooo many videos now I just don’t think I will be able to get through them all so just trying to watch and comment on everyone’s first haha. I think there is 20 of us doing it now! It is a great challenge though and love the great community feel about it with everyone commenting on each others!
I don’t think we really have any guidelines for the second field… I think it was mostly the first field and actually it looks like all four of us are using slightly different methods to pick the first field. I think Krustoo used a random number picker to give him three numbers, and then he picked which one he wanted, I used a random number picker to give me one number that I had to stick to, I believe Rusty Money Gaming had his subscribers choose his field, and I’m not sure what Gaming Joy is doing. Actually, while recording the second episode, it dawned on me that we also don’t have anything in place that says we can’t sell that first field and move, lol. I don’t think I’ll do that, but it definitely crossed my mind.
@northernfarmsim I'm playing along myself. Trying to understand the complete concept. I've seen your videos and Krustoo. I'll have to look up RMG. I went the Krustoo route. One was mostly trees, another was far, and the third was field 30. Choosing 30 was the best. I know it was easiest, but it was the cheapest. I'm on console, so I'm a little more limited.
@@BanditFarms hey that’s awesome. I think the idea was to have the initial concept and then everyone could sort of branch out from there and do what they wanted. I imagine when the other two guys post their videos we’re going to see a big variation because I think they both have their own style of playing.
Did you mean "3 or 4 hour videos"? I often wonder how a super long vid would be received but maybe I should just take a crack at a live stream....RUclips tells me that my videos are watched to the 21st minute on average...
Almost 2 months later, this video popped up on my RUclips feed. It seems the algorithm god has blessed the video either via cross-creator magic or by pure chance. Either way: I'm here, I'm interested and I've subscribed for more!
That's actually pretty wide...I lose perspective some time and then when I see somethin in real life it blows me away how large it is. Like a harvester in-game looks big but when you see one in real life they seem like they are the same size as a house!

You can find it on Krustoo’s discord or in the description of each of the episodes I’ve posted. The pentameters aren’t overly strict, mostly just to stay at or under 200HP and nothing too unrealistic. That and you start with $250k and nothing else 👍
@@nivfied7858 there’s a number of people who are doing the challenge and not making video. There’s a chat group set up on that discord where you could fill people in on your progress and ask questions and such. It’s possible that you could still upload video but maybe just do it in a Time-lapse format with some text overlay or something like that? But you definitely don’t have to make videos, you could just play it and have fun and get involved in the chat over on the Krustoo discord.
It’s not meant to be challenging, other than the 200HP limitation and the hilly map. It’s meant to be a number of people setting out on a map with the same HP limitation to see how different people evolve their farming activity. No competition, hard fast rules or anything like that. Just for fun.

Who came up with those rules a 10 year old, doesn’t seem challenging
It’s not meant to be challenging, other than the 200HP limitation and the hilly map. It’s meant to be a number of people setting out on a map with the same HP limitation to see how different people evolve their farming activity. No competition, hard fast rules or anything like that. Just for fun.
Oh I see I was wondering on how this was a challenge but it’s more of what do the players do with it ok
I think there are six channels right now on the map and as far as I can tell, everyone has a pretty different playing style.
That does keep it interesting
