    It's always fun to see how creative people get with IKEA furniture. I once painted a TARVA dresser to look like a bunch of stacked Hogwarts trunks. Adding the correct handles made all of the difference.

    Girl you can totally do those doors! Get a mask and sand outdoors. Sanding outdoors keeps the particles out of your home and furniture anyway. The drawers looks great and k look forward to see what you create for the doors!

    What a transformation! It looks so much better now.
    I've been thinking about painting an IKEA Pax recently. But I'm afraid I would be able to see the paint roller lines on it afterwards. You know, those lines that reveal that it was hand painted because you can see every stroke of the paint brush. How did you achieve cohesion in the coat of paint? Can you tell it was hand painted?

    It turned out amazing! A question related to the bedroom, how do you like the Emma mattress after using it for a longer time, does it still hold up? Thinking about getting a mattress, and it's so hard to find one which lasts on the long run.

    • @Loepsie
      @Loepsie  10 месяцев назад

      It's by far the nicest mattress I've ever had! We had to take the whole bed apart a few weeks back to install the baby cosleeper and the mattresses still look the same as the day we got them. It's very comfortable and supportive. On our old mattress, when one of us turned in our sleep the other would get launched up but on this one you barely notice the other's movements. We're genuinely very happy with it! 😊

      @AgnesN 10 месяцев назад

      @@Loepsie Thank you so much for the reply! ☺️ We will definitely consider buying one, it would be a dream come true to finally have a good mattress :D It's just a bit hard to get it in Hungary, but we'll see what we can do ☺️

    Wow, that‘s such a cool DIY! I LOVE the outcome … just one question, why didn‘t you buy a Malm secondhand when you‘d paint it anyway? 😂 Just a thought.

    • @Loepsie
      @Loepsie  10 месяцев назад +1

      Our car is impossible to transport pre-built furniture in 😭 It's a sedan so nothing fits in the back and we can't attach a trailer either. We didn't realise how annoying that'd be until we tried to buy secondhand furniture when we moved to this house. We've had to rent vans a few times just to pick up a secondhand purchase and for a malm dresser that just isn't worth it 😅 I'd have preferred a secondhand one but I'd have to find a seller willing to deliver it and that's quite challenging

    Couldn’t you just get another dresser second hand? Those are everywhere in my country and I see them all the time in second hand apps and websites. Just seems like if you’re going to paint it you might as well use something that doesn’t need to be perfect and it would be way more sustainable
