I have not tried that, Steve. What is your scooter doing (or not doing)? I have a newer model and this one stopped working. I suspect the battery, but I don't want to spend the money to find out. Good luck!
Hi ! have you cut off the battery adapter? Ihave a used GTi without battery, without adapter too. I was wondering if I can take a generic 12v battery and simply use faston plug like I've seen in yours. I haven't the originale battery charger too, but I can charge with something else . Do you think I'm right? Thanks for the video
So long as the battery is similar to the original. Check the specs before you buy and you should be able to find the specs for the SeaDoo battery that came with the scooter from the factory.
Lol, thanks Leann! I've been using it quite a bit this summer and its made a few cameos in some of my videos. Perhaps next year I'll have a serious scooter. Here's to hoping! Thanks for watching and taking time to comment 👍

When I put the inner nose come back on, it doesn’t stay sealed, it pops back up a few millimeters, even when outer cone and plastic straps are hooked in place. Any guesses why this slightly gap is appearing? Afraid of water leak
@caseyherbert6487 Sounds like you'll have a good seal. Is the port screw still in place when you put the cone on? You need to remove it before you put the cone on, and install it once the nose cone is in place.

Hey Don and mokpot. I have a odd question , are you able to hold it and face it the other way and make it blow water away from you? I'm asking as I myself am keen to purchase one 2nd hand myself. I'd like to use it to clear sand in rock pools and ocean for treasure hunting.
Hey Mathew, the answer is yes. I have seen this done recently in a video where the operator was searching for megalodon teeth. I believe it helps to be slightly negatively buoyant, however I have not yet done this. Good question. Perhaps Mark can weigh in on this as he has probably done this a time or two. I had it in the lake for about an hour. It wasn't going constantly but I was happy with it. Much happier with the new one though. The Hoverstar is faster and has a battery readout so you know when to head back to shore.
Does anyone know why the scooters are so loud? I was thinking there is some sort of speed reducer mechanism making all that noise. I'd rather have a direct drive motor! or at least a variable speed trigger so the lighter you press it the slower it goes.
The pricier scooters have variable speeds and emit less noise. I have a little nicer one that I tested in a more recent video. You should check my other videos out 👍
I'm not following you. There is a screw that creates a seal in the compartment. You should only have to unscrew it and that will release the vacuum that keeps the battery cover in place.
