Peanuts and coke is old as the hills. Back in the 1920s, farmers in the southern US would do this all the time. It allowed them to eat a snack without having to stop working to wash their hands.

Fun fact about the coke and peanuts, at least here in the US. It was popular during the 1920's when tradesmen and workmen on the field didn't want to dirty up their peanuts with their grubby hands so they found a solution. Combine their coke and peanuts for a convenient snack.
My mother-in-law introduced me to peanuts & Coke. Its an addicting snack! Definitely an old American farmer thing. She was doing that as a child in the late 30's.

Try banana and tomato sauce butties - butter a couple of slices of bread, slice a banana and put on one slice of the bread, put on tomato sauce to your own preference, top with the other slice of bread, slice in half and eat. Another one is smoked bacon, Brie and sliced white grape toasties. Yum! Prepare two or four bread slices (i.e., cut off the crusts and butter on both sides). Put in a toastie maker. The creaminess of the Brie goes so well with the smokiness of the bacon and sweetness of the grapes. I don't know if it's any better or worse to use black grapes as I've only ever used green grapes, so that might be a variation to try as well.
