Brilliant tutorial. What's the maximum cure time for the ews primer before the ehb 60 top filling and what type paints/ primers are best to use over both EWS and Ehb 60 please?

Hi Matt, it is around 4 hours, but that can depend heavily on the ambient temperature, it could increase in cooler temperatures. Ideally, put your EHB60 over the primer after 20 minutes. Fully cured and sanded down, EHB60 will accept all known Water or Solvent based paints systems, including Linseed Oil paints.

@@ChemfixProducts thank you for this. How about painting over EWS?

@@mattgloss8580 EWS is a primer and isn't designed to be painted over.

@@ChemfixProducts I was hoping to use the ews as a waterproof treatment on horizontal joinery parts that will be coated afterwards.
I understand that's not designed to be painted over. Does ews suffer from amine blushing? It does produce dry film so I suppose with adhesion primer it should be doable. Many thanks for quick replies.

How is the paint adhesion to the glazing compound?

How long can you store those 2-part systems after first use? Won't the material go off in the nozzle? Do you have to use all of it at once?

Hi David, no it will not go off in the nozzle, you can refit the cap to the tube and use as much as required for your project. The shelf life (2 years) is not affected by use.
