When it's obvious that someone has had work done, I feel that it ruins their looks. Overfilled faces, BBLs, and the upper lip lift look so fake. I'm with Dr.Youn about the upper lip lift being the worst plastic surgery trend. There is no way around it looking fake.

Do you ever work with bariactric patients after they've lost their weight? My daughter is 2 weeks post op and I asked her if her insurance would cover a tummy lift or whatever to remove her excess skin and she said no. Which is a shame in my book.
I've seen in other videos/on his website he does skin removal. It is terrible that insurance companies are so against providing care for patients. Most don't cover semaglutide and other obesity meds, many don't cover weight loss surgeries, almost none cover "cosmetic" procedures. With loose skin, I have seen videos saying to document any irritation/pain you get, it can help get insurance to cover it.
It’s so annoying that doctors always say the lip on top should be half the size of the bottom! My lips have always been exactly the same size, and even when I have gotten filler in the past, and have told them to keep it even.. they have occasionally gone against my wishes to make my bottom lip bigger! This is not 100% for everybody! It’s a smaller percentage maybe 60-70% of people have a much bigger bottom lip! It’s individual
Exactly! I was like what? So I guess I am abnormal when almost everyone in my family has full lips- the top and bottom are equal in size. I guess African Americans aren't included as a part of the population 🙄
As a brown girl, I see doctors being influenced by trends and westernized and predominantly white beauty standards. They’re human as well and not all of them are able to keep their prejudices or opinions from their profession. I’ve found older doctors especially women advocate having children early or exclusively breast feeding even though the mother couldn’t produce milk and so on. Some good doctors are still shitty people.
What happens if we rub ice cube on our face? Some says it's good and some says it makes fiction and causes pigmentation. What exactly happens if we rub it? Could you please reply doctor
I kid you not, the girl that you said was trending on tik tok, that was fake. I saw a woman this past Thanksgiving, eating in Gatlinburg, TN. Oh my lord. It was hard not to stare!! That was before her eating. But then she was, and she couldn't hold food in her mouth. Her lips were not quite that large, but it wasn't far off. I thought I was being rude, but everyone was in shock. Not to mention, she had a teen stepson and stepdaughter with her. The son told his father, "She's not my mom," and went to sit outside. Miss lips just kept trying to eat. Chomping and shoveling it back in with a spoon when it fell out of her mouth. She looked to weigh 100 lbs. Maybe. Her spouse told her to have as much as she wanted. She could barely move her face. The other surgeries were obvious as well, but the lips!!!

I am 71 and years ago I had a bit of filler put in my lips. Terrible experience because I could not say the letter p or b. I worked in an mechanical engineering office and had to deal with many engineers in car companies, really embarrassing not to be able to speak properly. 😁
i've always hated my buccal fat and when i found out you can remove it i was thinking about getting the procedure bc my face gets really fat and jowly in the lower cheek. when i was little i used to suck in my cheeks if i had to take photos. but when i found out they have to scrape the fat out from between the muscles *shudder* i gave up on that idea!
Yeah. The more you know.... I used to work in a medical library. I've seen many photos of how face lifts are done. Nuh-uh. Never. Nobody's ever going to do that to me.
You'll look prettier and sexier as you grow older. I used to have these fats that made me look very chubby which I wasn't. As we age we naturally have reduced fat on our face. So now I look way better and sharper as I'm aging. Like the doctor said, removing those tissues can make you prematurely aged.
Trends come and go! I’ve always loved the 50s trend of soft, round faces and makeup that accentuates it! Glad I have a rounder face rather than sunken in and contoured

ignore the dickhead below...you're beautiful, and yes, they do want your features! I think it's perfectly okay to enjoy another person's aesthetic- as long as you recognize the trials those people have gone through for their features. mimicry is the most sincere form of flattery, and there IS a way to be respectful. bullying people for a typical ethnic feature (let's face it, some of us lighter ladies aren't blessed in the lip department) just to appropriate and gentrify it a few years later once it's 'cool' and trendy again is most definitely not respectful. So regardless of that jerk below, I see your struggle and where you're coming from
I had a lip lift, and the scar is almost imperceptible. I owe it to a wonderful surgeon who only lifted the lip slightly, and healing well. The distance between the nose and top lip has been shortened slightly, and you can see a little more of my upper teeth when I speak, which looks great. I have seen disasters, though, where the upper lip is pulled up almost right under the nose, almost touching it. That puts a lot more tension on the incision, which, of course can leave a wider and more noticeable scar. Thank you, Doctor Youn, for always advising discretion and a clear understanding of the risks.
I can understand plastic surgery for corrections, deformities and wanting a bit of a refresh. However, it’s pretty sad that young people want to change their appearance. Embrace your natural beauty and uniqueness.
I'm 53 and have a little bit of Crows feet and frown lines but other than that I'm not old looking...I would never do any plastic surgery..I'd rather spend the money on something fun, like a vacation or buy a sports car I've always wanted...sad that people are all about their looks..when it's only what's in your heart that matters.. worship God not yourself!!
I always think it's weird when people spend their free time watch surgery videos, and then talk about how they're better than people who chose to do so. I thought being judgemental was supposed to be left to the god you're talking about.
I appreciate your approach to plastic surgery. Everyone on Korea wants to have the same nose. I have a good nose but if I went to a plastic surgeon in Korea they would want to make it "perfect" anyway. Plus I even saw a video where a girl wanted to get a fraxl laser done and they removed some freckles unnecessarily that she didn't want removed because she is from a country where they like freckles.
It's the extreme version of it, like always! Balance and "average" is not true for everyone. I've known people, esp BIPOC, who have naturally larger upper lips.
The buccal fat one is, I think, one of the worst I've seen. 20 somethings - look skeletal, and I hear the skin sags. They're gonna need filler to fix the damage.
In my opinion if you are thinking of having cosmetic plastic surgery done, it is important to consult with a good plastic surgeon and not someone who is just in it for the money. I think that is the biggest challenge of all, as not every plastic surgeon is not as honest as Dr. Youn. He will tell the public, the negative aspects of a procedure, even though other plastic surgeons may be upset that he is telling the truth. I can't help but comment on the video with the women with the large lips. I watched her eat and she could hardly close her mouth. The only other time, I have witness that is people who have cerebral palsy with facial paralyze and they have a great deal of difficulty chewing their food. I am sure they would do anything, to look normal when they are eating.
There were a couple cases on the show botched where people had too much filler where it was starting to make the wet part of the lip inside dry out because they could not close properly or it could happen. One of the patients with this listened thank goodness.
Not me, and it has zero to do with celebrities who look absolutely awful due to going overboard. If I had the money I'd definitely tweak a few things, just not to the extreme's presented here. The medical technology is available, so within reason, I'd absolutely have somethings done. Not yet, but over time.
I agree with you. Since when it is wrong to look one's own age? Yes, I will have wrinkles, but they will be proof of all the times I laughed, cried, smiled and lived my life :-)
Congrats. As always, a super sensible approach The whole idea of certain surgeries trending is inherently wrong. Plastic surgery should be something completely adapted to the pacient's unique features and needs, which is the opposite to "one fits all" trends. The same applies to beauty standards and body shapes
Dr.youn: If the upper lip is bigger than the lower lip, this can cause the appearance of a duck Me who has naturally an upper lip bigger than the lower and actually loved how it looks: 👁️👄👁️ heyyyy ... That's illegal
Omg! Be contented and happy of what you have than to destroy the natural given distinct beauty that God gave to you. We are all unique from our personality and beauty. Just be who you are because there’s nothing more beautiful than that.💕😊😊
I know many people with top lip bigger than bottom lip of different ethnicities. I went to high school in the 2000s I know none of these girls were getting filler. Everyone will have different natural proportions and I think peoples natural variance in lip shape and proportions is so beautiful. Sucks to see everyone wanting a singular type of face
My botox/juvaderm injector won't even let me do the lip flip since she says its a waste of money as it only lasts approximately 3 months and suggests getting filler instead. However I don't like that filler migration or duck lips look, so what would you suggest?
Maybe it's just my misophonia talking, but those overfilled lips coyly slurping and smacking elicits from me such a visceral revulsion...I cannot describe it.
I've dated many plastic surgeons and have no plastic surgery. I feel like a unpaid model because they are all obsessed with my body. The way they stare at my boobs makes me think that they are trying to figure out how to make their patients boobs look like mine.
Before those seemed to be mainstream things or even board certified techniques for those procedures, I had thought of the last two on my own, when I was very young and hyper aware of every single body flaw I had since I was the legit exact opposite of the blonde anorexic heroin chic of the mid to late 00s. I was thinking of ways to do the procedure on myself once I found some kind of numbing agent. Luckily I grew out of that shit before I got my hands on the lidocaine.

I love your videos!! I am a future dermatologist and you just make me more excited about my future job!Great Video as always 😉😀
Good luck! Derm is a hard residency to get.
You'll succeed 🙏🏽😊
I have a round face. Still would never get buccal fat removal.
Well duh. Round faces are more youthful and prettier
I can understand plastic surgery for corrections, deformities and wanting a bit of a refresh. However, it’s pretty sad that young people want to change their appearance. Embrace your natural beauty and uniqueness.
Gender dysmorphia 🤔?
I'm 53 and have a little bit of Crows feet and frown lines but other than that I'm not old looking...I would never do any plastic surgery..I'd rather spend the money on something fun, like a vacation or buy a sports car I've always wanted...sad that people are all about their looks..when it's only what's in your heart that matters.. worship God not yourself!!
I always think it's weird when people spend their free time watch surgery videos, and then talk about how they're better than people who chose to do so. I thought being judgemental was supposed to be left to the god you're talking about.
@@rexrad9735 umm I didn't watch I looked at the comments so you got me figured out wrong...move on Kevin
My upper lip is a bit fuller than my lower lip and I actually like the way it looks.
Mine is too i started looking in the mirror like do i look like a duck omg.
It's the extreme version of it, like always! Balance and "average" is not true for everyone. I've known people, esp BIPOC, who have naturally larger upper lips.
The woman you did the buccal fat removal on looks soooo cute. Yes!
The buccal fat one is, I think, one of the worst I've seen. 20 somethings - look skeletal, and I hear the skin sags. They're gonna need filler to fix the damage.
I’ve been I’ll for awhile, my face is a little gaunt. I can’t understand why someone would pay to a scoop out their cheeks.
It gives them that used up drug addict look :(
In my opinion if you are thinking of having cosmetic plastic surgery done, it is important to consult with a good plastic surgeon and not someone who is just in it for the money.
I love this man for sharing his knowledge. He knows a great deal and it helps me to rethink weird trends that I hear about. Bless him.
I have always had the no buccal fat look and started to hate it as I got older. I just had fat transfer done to soften and make me younger looking.
Not phase by any of these celebrities trends I'll age gracefully!♥️🙂
Not me, and it has zero to do with celebrities who look absolutely awful due to going overboard. If I had the money I'd definitely tweak a few things, just not to the extreme's presented here. The medical technology is available, so within reason, I'd absolutely have somethings done. Not yet, but over time.
I agree with you. Since when it is wrong to look one's own age? Yes, I will have wrinkles, but they will be proof of all the times I laughed, cried, smiled and lived my life :-)
Congrats. As always, a super sensible approach
The whole idea of certain surgeries trending is inherently wrong. Plastic surgery should be something completely adapted to the pacient's unique features and needs, which is the opposite to "one fits all" trends. The same applies to beauty standards and body shapes
So glad that I’m too poor for any of these procedures 🤗
Just be a natural beauty❤
Tbf Kendall seems like she's making an intentional duck face expression for the pic 🤷
Yeah, you can tell by her facial muscles
Even without the duck lips, her lips grew exponentially during the pandemic. Same with Megan Fox.
@@cv7958 yep, one can see that from the Moon 😂
Is not Kendall is Danielle Marcan.
Dr.youn: If the upper lip is bigger than the lower lip, this can cause the appearance of a duck
Me who has naturally an upper lip bigger than the lower and actually loved how it looks: 👁️👄👁️ heyyyy ... That's illegal
Kendall’s normal lips are very beautiful. I wouldn’t even look at her twice and she had that other crap on her.
The picture is not Kendall, is Danielle Marcan makeup artist.
Seeing some of these procedures is like watching a horror movie.
Omg! Be contented and happy of what you have than to destroy the natural given distinct beauty that God gave to you. We are all unique from our personality and beauty. Just be who you are because there’s nothing more beautiful than that.💕😊😊
Woah...Kendall is unrecognizable
Because is not her, is Danielle Marcan makeup artist.
Fat transfer!
Yeahh
I could never go for the 3rd one 💀
I already bite my cheeks on my potato face
If I ever had a thinner cheek I'd probably bite it off
Truly agree not all cosmetic surgeries are meant for everyone?
People who have big lips naturally 😉😁
PS: ALL OF YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL BIG LIP OR SMALL LIP ❤
I’d never have plastic surgery but I love ur channel
Madonna looks absolutely ridiculous 🤷🏻♀️
Maybe it's just my misophonia talking, but those overfilled lips coyly slurping and smacking elicits from me such a visceral revulsion...I cannot describe it.
Same 😅😅 Both with misophonia and the reaction
I've dated many plastic surgeons and have no plastic surgery. I feel like a unpaid model because they are all obsessed with my body. The way they stare at my boobs makes me think that they are trying to figure out how to make their patients boobs look like mine.
That vermillion lift looked stupid. Who is out here thinking that's smart?
Before those seemed to be mainstream things or even board certified techniques for those procedures, I had thought of the last two on my own, when I was very young and hyper aware of every single body flaw I had since I was the legit exact opposite of the blonde anorexic heroin chic of the mid to late 00s. I was thinking of ways to do the procedure on myself once I found some kind of numbing agent. Luckily I grew out of that shit before I got my hands on the lidocaine.
I love that you mentioned the bucal fat removal. I had no idea I was contouring like crazy trying to get my cheeks to look like bellas 😂.
😂😂😂😂
Please do review for hailey Bieber too
People destroying their faces spending $$$$$$ needs psychiatrists BAD.
