I think it’s quite funny that Kimberly got nerfed so badly from the beta that Capcom has spent over 2 years slowly bringing her power back and she was never even the best character back then. I still think she’s not as strong as beta Kim was but we’re getting there.
As a kim main,im happy for the not t rex hands st hp anymore..now it can be used in neutral as a pressure tool along with arc step,which is a true string,whiff punish tool..and can be a folow up from a long jump in,where before patch you had to use mk in order to reach.the improved cancel window in her j.2mp is a nice qol,and her mid screen od arc step into lvl gives some more sauce.
I want a reversal, and the ability to replenish cans automatically each round. Thats all I want and I will be happy. Or for her to be able to run backwards like Fuerte from SF4. And have a command grab or splash from run. Actually, I just want Fuerte.
As a Kim main, I want the spray cans to have a hit box. Even if it’s low damage like Birdies cans in SFV. It would allow me to play more mind games in neutral
@@thebeluvdtrex I don't see why not, especially if the cans aren't effected by pushback. The only thing it could kill is some throw setups, but even then delayed throw would be fine.
Kim’s standing HP is a godsend! It used to whiff at close range at crucial times and I’d get punished for attempting a move that genuinely looks like it was was supposed to connect. Also, having arc step be a true string after a normal is very good too. Getting jabbed out of a fake pressure string was so annoying. While she could use an invincible reversal, I’d rather have a wall jump like Guy.
Kim's probably the biggest winner of the patch. Definitely not top-tier still (the return of her OD tatsu reversal would be nice), but I could see her being utilized more online & in tournaments.
Kimberly is still in the Bottom 5. The buffs helped, but merely helped her climb out of the Bottom 3. There is still no reason to use Kimberly over either Blanka or Rashid.
I really need them to add a reason to use level 2. Only thing you really get is comboing into it from OD moves. You'd think that would make it a good kill confirm however it doesn't do enough damage after combo scaling compared to oki. They teach you to projectile dodge with it but since you can't choose the trajectory it's situational at best. It doesn't give you much on wake up either. So it's her most useless move which is a shame because the animation is awesome. Maybe you could use it in burnout but if you are kim in burnout you are cooked defensively
Not having reversal means Ken can still potentially bully me, but its whatever. The buffs are nice I just wish I didn't get stuffed using teleport all the time. Probably just using it too much
Stop using teleport. Your neutral should be m.sk and h. sp into mix. You can use the frametrap to get them not to press. Then you mix in stuff that's not real. Teleport is when you have their mental stack full just like the slide. Teleport and unsafe slide is the fastest way Kim kills herself.
I think the DLC characters will be the full fullbring arc villains and full bring Ichigo. I know we got TYBW costumes but I don't think they will just jump to that arc. They'll save that for an expansion or game 2.
Kim is so annoying to fight against now. The mix ups in the corner are brutal and her combos go on for ages but she was always pretty weak in neutral and getting you to the corner. Glad she’s more well rounded now, the slide is a big buff so people can get that first hit in a much more brain dead way
I luv, LUV how annoying Kimberly is. I get more rage quits with her than any other character. But then, when I'm on the receiving end, I'm like, "Man. Is this what I've been doing to people?" 😂
She's still bottom tier and needs a reversal back. Lazy cheap Crapcom haven't even brought her back to how good beta Kimberly was and she wasn't even the best character back then. Meanwhile BS pay to win DLC like Rashid get all the good stuff beta Kimberly had and more. Crapcoms double standard and bias towards certain characters is obvious as hell to see by now. Theres obvious changes that they could make for the clearly struggling characters and over-tuned BS top tiers in SF6 but they don't care about actually improving their stale game one bit. They only care about scummy overpriced micro transactions and drip fed DLC money. Just like most other scummy big dev companies these days Crapcom let games go completely stale while drip feeding a more complete game over time just to squeeze more money than they deserve out of the brainwashed player base that accepts this BS.
I’ve got to agree with you to be honest. Dlc should be released in sets of 3 or 4 once a year, not constantly having to fight an op new character that you can’t lab because your not interested in paying for them, just to have them get nerfed when the next character comes out. Literally bullshit having patches every season nerfing characters and buffing under purchased DLC
What I like about these changes is that they gave her a box of new tools while trying to carve out a unique identity for her.

I'm of both minds: She's the biggest winner of the patch *AND* could still use her reversal back.
Because she needs one non universal defensive tool right now all she has is drive but she also needs tons of meter for her offense
