I listened more than I saw, as a kid in Saginaw and what a blessing to follow the Pistons, with Paul Carey and Tom Hemingway calling Detroit's games, 50 years ago. Dave was smooth as glass. Got to see him play one time in person, as the Pistons would play preseason exhibition games in Saginaw's Wendler Arena (now the Dow Event Center).
Dave was a great player , his second year in the nba , he led the league in scoring
