Lovely tune with typical lyrics (from what I've seen of David's work, and I do so love his way with words). Thanks for sharing. It is one of my biggest regrets that I missed -inexplicably- the concert the Triffids played in '89, mere metres from my house at the time...
I totally agree John. Lucky enough to see Dave with Costar supporting my friend's band at a little place in Fitzroy about a month before he died - special!
This is startling good. While all those idiots at the Billboard Awards are celebrating their sugar coated tunes -- songs with meat on them -- like this one -- are ignored. If there's any justice a big name like Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss, or even Michael Buble -- would embrace this David McComb song and elevate his talent once and for all. "Trick of the Light," would be next.
Thanks for this one! Been a Triffids fan since BSD and visited the Triffids train last weekend in Belgium. Gorgeous songs & performances. Bye David..

Thank you for informing me where this great song came from. Too bad DAVID never released a second solo-album!
great travelin' tune, beautiful lyrics
