I'm almost 30, and I don't keep up with current music, so I've slept on this dude. But damn, when I was his age, I had major depression that was untreated and a bad substance abuse problem, but none of the popular music out at that time was really connecting to me on that, so I had to go deeper to look for music that did. The fact that an album with a single this sincere, desperate, and nihilistic can go triple platinum makes me think that there are a lot of kids right now feeling the way I did, and probably a lot more than when I was that age because y'all had to grow up with even more school shootings, a national opioid crisis, the increasing brutality of neoliberal capitalism, and the threat of environmental collapse. I feel for all of y'all who can't see a future worth trying to get to, I really do. And there are a lot of people out there standing in solidarity with y'all too. RIP Juice WRLD.

I definitely don't go flaunting it everywhere tho it's buried deep inside I try to smile on the outside and hide it. Only time I really talk about it is to someone I really trust and care about only person that knows is my ex and this girl I started talking talking to (I put talking twice on purpose) who made me feel like all my imperfections are non-existent and I was the on top of the world lol she's such an amazing girl. She talked about me like I was this perfect guy who she's always been looking for and she made it sound like she wanted a relationship it was like we were already dating but then she turns around out of nowhere and says she's not ready for a relationship, and she wants to be my friend she just doesn't know if it can go back to the way it was. Made me feel super shitty. It sucks when you get hurt by the person who you explained your pain to. And that brings me to not jus this song but the whole album lol.
