    Republic of Korea Sejong the Great-class destroyer Sejong the Great (DDG 991) departs Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam following the conclusion of Rim of the Pacific 2016. Twenty-six nations, more than 40 ships and submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel participated in RIMPAC from June 30 to Aug. 4, in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain the cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans.     This ship is an arleigh burke class destroyer with aegis combat system but MUCH MUCH more HEAVILY ARMED

      @@cypheron3030 As of now(2020), ROKN Sejong the Great class(batch 1) is still using baseline 7.1 while USN Arleigh Burke class is upgraded to baseline 9.

      The ROKN will build three more Aegis Destroyers with Aegis Baseline 9.

    Looks like they take great care of their ships. Made a trans pacific and still looks that good. That’s pride.

    생긴 건 알레이 버크급인데 성능상으로는 함대함 공격력 한정으로 버크보다 위인 느낌
    일단 탄도탄 요격 미사일이 없을 뿐 같은 AN/SPY-1D 레이더를 사용하기 때문에 탐지 능력 자체는 대등할 듯

    I wonder if its AN/SPY-1 is going to be upgraded to SPY-6 once it's ready, probably will... once it does this ship along with the Flight III Burkes truly will not be something you want to face off

      It's the South Korean Version. Although it's like a rip off, it's more heavily armed compared to the Arleigh Burke

      @@cypheron3030 nah not rip off, we contracted with the company which made arleigh burke class destroyer.
      we just made bigger version with better building technique(Bluesky Loadout method of construction)

      not sure if you're refering Zumwalt class destroyer, if yes South Korea nor India have techonology to build Zumwalt class destroyer yet.
