You thought I wouldn’t notice the reloading sound effect a 6:42, but I did. I can’t remember what game it’s from thought. It almost sounds like it’s from a 007 game.

I hate the idea of vendor locking parts. Sure, display some "unauthorized part detected, risk of fire" or whatever BUT DO NOT INTERFERE if customer is using suboptimal setup on their own risk.

Hello, I was considering the 1-Wire interface for a project relating to my master thesis and a critical requirement for the interface design is that slave devices (time of flight sensors with I2C interface) must be able to send independent interrupts in case of emergency, and without master microcontroller initiating the transaction. I could not find that functionality in the 1-Wire protocol. Is there a way to send independent slave interrupts ? I have also temperature monitoring with the same requirement. If I use 4 DS28EA00 temperature sensors as slave devices and 1 DS2485 master device interfaced to the Microcontroller via I2C, can the temperature sensors initiate transaction while the master is in sleep mode, when for example a sudden rise in temperature occurs due to possible fire?
