Thank, you, sir, for a good demonstration of this Leofoto VH-30N! Exactly what I needed! Wishing you many pleasant and rewarding bird-photo-long-lens-tele-shots! Best regards from Sweden! One pros is the price compared to the Arcatech similar Tilt Head!

@@chrlmlln9018 thank you very much for the kind words. It's a great lightweight option for a monopod or even tripod and the price is fair. 😊👍🏻

This video is just what I needed. I'm going to seriously consider ordering this item. Looks solid and smooth. I like the the levers are adjustable so that I don't have to twist it round and round until desired. Less than 1lb is great. Thank you.

Seems like an absolute steal compared to the RRS long lens head. Have you done a head to head (no pun intended) comparison of the two by any chance? But you trusting this head to hold your 800mm speaks volumes of it's quality! Thanks for posting

Thank You for the comment. I have not done a "head to head" comparison sadly.
You can snug up both side adjustments on this if you really want to be safe. I really like how lightweight it is too! Thank You again!

I am researching a VH-30LR monopod head which is what the company recommended I use on my Sony A7V and 200-600 mm lens. I am moving from a Manfrotto system which means I will be changing my lens foot on the Sony lens. Would it be possible for you to show your lens and camera mounted? I would like to get a visual of how to assemble everything. Also, I followed your link and it looks like they show your purchase set up with a tripod. I find that rather curious. It is also a bit cheaper than the head they recommended for me. I cannot see much difference in the products but they recommended a monopod for me as well so perhaps they are more compatible. What monopod are you using?

      Hello,
I did a review on my FaceBook photo page with images.
Here is a link to a close up image. If you scroll though the images there are a few more that show me using it on the monopod. I hope that helps!

I have a few different monopods. Right now I am using a Benro.

Can the clamp be rotated sideways to accommodate my L bracket?

    • @photosbyjoeendy
      @photosbyjoeendy  7 месяцев назад

I can tell that the clamp is removable but I did not take it off to see. If I remember correctly there was another video that said you can remove the clamp but there are two pins that prevent you from rotating it. I think he said he just purchased a different clamp.
I hope that helps a little.

Nice monopod head. I noticed the hex screw on the top..... does the clamp rotate to accommodate a L bracket ? I would be switching at times between camera and lens. Thanks

@@photosbyjoeendy Yes it does, Thank you. Looks like my only alternative is to purchase the Acratech Panoramic Head at twice the price.

@@tonytfuntek3262 what about a different ARCA base?

@@photosbyjoeendyThe main issue is that I utilize an L bracket on my camera body, which goes in one direction and the lens foot goes in the other. I do appreciate your suggestions thank you. PS...I just noticed that Leofoto makes a similar head that the top rotates....Leofoto VH-30-R.....Thanks again.

@@tonytfuntek3262 For panos, you would also want a nodal rail, which are commonly available with the rotated arca-clamp for L-brackets and cages.

I assume I could use this on a tripod too.

Yes, I mentioned in the video about using it on a tripod. It would be perfect for a compact or travel tripod since it's small and lightweight. It would be good for panoramic shots too.
