Thank you! I just had a worried young lady in the parking lot of the convenience store I work for because her battery went dead and she couldn't figure out how to start her car. We got it started and her on her way with your help. Thanks a bunch! You're awesome for posting this!
I just leave the key fob in the car and use the puch button auto lock buttons to lock the car and the push button door code to Unlock the car. That way I do not accidently unock the trunk or set off the alarm due to the giant key fob in my pocket.
A concept that only works on Ford/Lincoln models because of the external keypad. The fob's battery will die ultimately and quicker than others because of the constant close proximity. Don't forget the back up start pocket.
What about the trunk? This is stupid. Most people do not keep their charging cables in the glove box. So, when you need a jump, you have no way to open the trunk.
Its a fair point. The buttons on the dash and at the trunk are electronic. This evidently confirms that the fob is ok, but the start battery is dead. You'll need roadside assistance for this one...

someone can break your window and push start the car to drive away.
Didn’t work still hearing 3 ticks after trying this
Bad start battery. Need a jump start at minimum. Key fob is not the issue...

Does not work
It DOES work IF the fob battery is the issue. Otherwise, there is a much more serious problem...
Looks like yours is defective
