About mashups: Technically, people combine tracks with similar harmonic structures using the circle of fifths, camelots (a tool used by DJs), and relative major/relative minor scales. As an example, he was singing Phir Kabhi in the G scale. Another song that instantly comes to my mind is Soch Na Sake by Arijit Singh, which may also be sung in the same chords but will be two scales flat/down from the original. Apna bana le by arijit, teri ore by shreya ghoshal, pehli nazar mein by atif etc. I can go on and on, all these songs can also be added in the mashup he was singing. It's actually not that difficult to do mashups, but maybe it's easy for me since I sing and I'm going to audition for Sa re ga ma pa this year (TMI, lol). Wish me luck. I like jhopdi K more because he sings in an open area without a standard mic or a closed soundproof room. I think he is from India's UK and is very much worth listening.
I will suggest you react his 6 to 8 months old video ... you will actually get to know what amount of hard work he did it. Singing, Playing Guitar, and then making awesome content ... I guess its no so easy. The day I am following him I knew he upload his video mostly on Sunday or monday...
