They were both the greatest teams with the most sheer talent, barring kentucky. Every player you see playing this game is playing professional basketball somewhere around the world. It’s absolutely unbelievable.
It’s too bad valentine never really made the transition to the pros. He was an absolute monster in college. I’d still like to see him and Forbes on the same team again
MSU ahead when Wisconsin player dives into the croud for a miraculous save tipping it high into the field. Only trouble is replay shows he was out of bounds, ball to Spartans to run out the clock they were their own worst enemy with turnovers but the Title was taken from them because of that miscall
Theoretically even if they called it Michigan state still has to make both free throws and even then there was still almost 20 seconds left. Game wasn’t decided by that one call
I'm sure I can go nitpick the game and find plays/nocalls that helped MS too, you can't just pick one and say that's why they lost. Look at OT Wis is the better team.
So sad we won’t be seeing this this year
Lot of talent on this floor: both teams made Final Four, with Wisconsin advancing to the title game.

I remember watching this on a small Tv in my buddies loft while in college at Madison. Like 4 of us up there watching
That was sheer OT dominance.
One of the greatest basketball teams ever assembled
The badgers if I didn’t do my math wrong score about 30 of the last 40 points in the game they were losing 59 49 and ended up winning 80 to 69
yeah but msu also had a 17-5 run
how does this highlight package not include the scramble on the badgers final possession in regulation?
