I'm no expert, but, I do find that purging helps eliminate some of the bitterness that can build up. I do find that it's less necessary on finer cigars that have been aged longer.
I will blow through a cigar to purge the smoke out of the cigar. I feel it will change the taste some. If the cigar is going out but not gone out, I will blow through it to “stoke” the burn a little to keep it lit and not have to relight. But that’s me.

Thanks for sharing video. I like to know what's the correct way to release smoke when one is smoking with companies? I think obviously not toward the direction of others. I saw in this video that you released your smoke towards the direction of your guess, probably without you being aware of it. I have a tendency to take smoke in and puff out as you'd mentioned and it creates alot of smoke.
I realized that degaussing cigars is necesarry for how i smoke it. I draw it kinda frequently and it helps pushing out the hot smoke so it wont overheat. When i smoke frequently it gets a gasolinic taste even when lit with a match, it helps to push that taste out
15:40 I have a comment on this. I’ve noticed sometimes you have to do that in order to kindle the flame. My friend and I typically smoke cigars and walk around my lake and sometimes it gets really cold and humid. Straight puffing doesn’t always keep the flame rolling, you have to “swish” the air in and out. Could possibly clear it for more air to pass through but I’m not sure. Just my experience.

I go to a good friends house. My wife and his wife grew up together all through school. We get along great. I never go there without four nice cigars. Then he will always suggest we go to the cigar bar in his town. He buys when we go. I’ll get the beers. When we get back to the fire pit I offer what I have. Always works well. As my wife says. We aren’t company.

As far as I understand, some people in Latin America also call cigars puros specifically because they are *purely/only/just tobacco*, full-stop
